Mainly because the experience is the crawl, not what's onboard the flight. And I have spent my cash and points on better value flights to renew WP and hit LTG.

After having my arm twisted by @JessicaTam last week in the SYD FCL, I too will be making an appearance.

MH605 (1610 departure) to SIN then onwards to MEL on QF36.

And having sent my credit card details via El Segundo I am on MH623 1325 KUL-SIN.

Will be spending a couple of day in Kuala Lumpar for my visit outside of KLIA.

I am looking at flights now. I think I can get to JHB for the same price as SIN-KUL, so an extra 80TPs.

I have managed to book SIN-KUL-JHB on Friday evening, coming back Saturday from JHB to KUL with a 23h layover.

So I am will be in KUL Sat arvo, flying to SIN Sunday on MH623 at 1325 with @Hvr.

It came in at about the same price as SIN-KUL return, but a few extra TPs. I did need to utilise my local TA to book it.

I'm looking forward to this. I managed to tie it in with a business trip so a few days of meetings and then a weekend of lounging. Should be good!

They do have quiet snooze rooms in the F and Regional lounges. They are like the CX J snooze room - a number of beds/couches in one room.

I have a used the Emerald "dorm" at KUL (as recently as January).

Shame about the staff members who kept chatting just outside its entrance.

Wished I could be there, sigh!!! Jalan Alor is a must try then after dinner, cheap foot massage nearby. Any more cheap OW flights? I don’t know how I’ll be able to swing a long weekend to KL at this stage.

Here is a hotel recommendation.

Great location next to large shopping mall with nice restaurants and also monorail.

And something left field
