I booked this in February yesterday for 1295 MYR however even though it says Virgin Bird it won't be as VA29 and VA30 won't be flying in Februrary

2774MYR converts to around $950 which seems like good value? I can't find it at this price after the end of April which is a shame as I'm looking at going in the back half of the year. Being VA WP I would have lounge access everywhere bar TXL I think.

gosh that's cheap! Not sure I could handle EYs 3-4-3 777 seating in Y and I haven't heard good things about the Y product but that's a great deal and I love Berlin!

you could look at Air Asia's $169 MEL-KUL current sale if the dates match up?

VA code share on a couple of AB flights- not sure which ones but you get access to ABs 'departure gate lounge' on those flights (which is pretty basic I gather).
Do you earn VA SCs on EY numbered flights operated by AB though? Is there not a direct EY AUH-TXL flight? I've flown an AB narrow body and it's nothing special- wouldn't want to do a long flight on it.

The VA-operated EY411 (KUL-AUH, 2035 dep on Sundays) would ease the pain for one leg at least, but I can't select that flight as part of this itinerary for some reason. I like the Air Asia idea, I'd be happy to take a couple of days in KL before setting off on the next leg.

From what I can see there's only one direct AUH-TXL flight daily which is an 0230 departure so that's no good (and it's also operated by AB). Not sure on the SC earn question but I'm sure it wouldn't be much being discount Y.

If I could get this fare in the second half of the year I'd be all over it but I haven't been able to find it.

I can find these up until the end of April, the dates I used were 20/4/14 for KUL-AUH and 27/4/14 for TXL-MEL.

For similar fares recently you have had to put in all the segments separately, IE KUL-AUH-AMS-AUH-SYD, so a 4 part multi-trip. And then try lots of different dates....

Edit: Hasent helped me find any yet!

Looks like fare is gone. I can't find it on the days I had previously. Can only find it around the 2600-2700 MYR mark now, around Feb. Still not a bad price if you want to go to Europe.

There were some ~1400MYR fares in late May '14 for JHB -> KUL -> AUH -> SIN -> BNE when I looked about a week ago. Seems to be up to about 2000MYR now though. Still better than 4000!
