Lack of curtains separating Business and Economy on 737

Without looking up the numbers I don't believe the 'billions in profit' come close to balancing out the billions in losses.
Do you mean in the days when the Federal government bailed them out.

WOW long thread about pee or poop in the front or back question. No peeking, I preferred the curtain

Yes it is a long thread but it is obvious that people are passionate about the issue and rightly so.

Yep the system is an absolute joke for the thousands you pay to be in business class. So much for premium airline

Everything is relative. What other airline is better depends on what you consider better. Private toilet, curtain, lounge, food, number of routes and destinations........they all mean different things to different people.

If a curtain is import then go with the airline that has them.

If you don't like QF then choose another airline that offers more things you like than QF. I choose QF because I like most of things they do and deliver on and go where I want to go.

But the reality is that an implementation for all the 738s should run in 10s of millions at most.

To be fair, there's a sign indicating it is a business class only cabin. There is also an announcement by crew that the forward toilet is for business class. Is that not enough to go on when making a choice?

How is the passenger to know that company policy or individual crew are going to undermine the sign and announcement?

I tend to agree with your sentiments, except QF do offer J cabin exclusivity. They just don't regularly enforce it. Same for priority boarding and also priority luggage (although that may be more the baggage handlers).

I love travelling QF also and I do wherever I can. I do not recall having said that a curtain or lack of one was important to me

This thread and all the posts speak for themselves but thank you for expressing your opinion.

To be fair as others have posted that sign is out of the way and is only visible if you happen to be staring that way or know to stare that way. Most walking up from the back would be looking down, not up.

I'll have a look again on Saturday.

Clearly whats lacking aren't curtains but mirrors. A mirror upon society, the society of whcih we have become.

Yes you look back into yourselves and truly ask yourself this questions "Why is there a mirror here?".

I think there is a mirror in the fwd loo?

I understand the mirror thing, so from this point forward I am just being antagonistic:
  • There is a mirror in the forward VA dunny (I checked today)
  • There is a mirror in the forward QF dunny (I checked on Sunday just gone)
It is just a narrow body, who cares who uses the front dunny, both airlines have equally bad J seating, and IMO there is no J experience on QF or VA domestic or any route they use a 737.

Well I sure hope you were in J to do all this checking then :D

I was:

in VA J this afternoon and the J meal was a jaffall, basically an in-eatable ham and cheese tostie but was green and white which I can only assume VA pass off as spinach and ricotta.

Sundays flight, I skipped dinner in favour of a G&T and forcibly given a bag of nuts/ pretzels.
