I don't know if we are luggage obsessed or what, but I have decided ( after a few long trips ) I don't like cases that split in half when opened - I like the lid opening type,

THIS!!! I don't have any hardcases as I hate clamshells and most of them seem to be like that, so only soft cases for me...
I have become very fussy about cases though and my pet hate is those that don't roll well. My current cases are Travelpro platinum magna with the magnets to keep the wheels straight.. OMG, these are the best rolling cases I have ever had. Unfortunately not cheap though and I cant find any stockists here in Aus so have to buy/order from overseas.

So from L to R red one is a cheapie we bought while in the Barossa Valley - it is light, brand "Airport" !! , Blue is Antler Liquis , purple is ITLuggage megalite, and grey is the Samsonite 72 hour ultralite.

I would be happier with my Samsonite 1.5kg if it was 2 wheeled, Im just not a fan of 4 wheels.

The only problem was the Samsonite I bought when my old carryon expired.Soon lost it however.I just go with whatever I am given.:(

OK , just had an email from Sportscraft with their new range for winter. They have a nylon bag very similar to the baggalllini and also a very stylish leather bag

504715_sand_a.jpgLeather bag $ 280 camel, NAVY and black

504881_gray_a.jpg$ 100 black or grey nylon

No measurements or description on their website but nice bags  I am rather partial to the navy leather !!

That bottom one looks very much like your Baggallini.

Has RFDI died a slow death, or am I still living in the woods.?

I use a rolling carryon, but for day-to-day when travelling internationally I always use a Pacsafe Metrosafe cross-body, which has room for a water bottle etc. I like the look of the totes though!

Mrs Chimpy has the Citysafe CS400 anti-theft travel tote from pacsafe and loves it.

Any chance of some photos to get a better idea of size as the models are so waifer tiny that the bag looks huge.

thanks,

I have this and im happy with it. Its not big enough for your laptop, its strictly handbag size so usually I pack it in my checkin and when Im settled in the hotel, I swap out my larger tote to this for day to day travel.

On the sides, I usually have one side for water bottle and the other side for fold up sun umbrella.

This works for me...but I don't have a telephoto camera. airpocked.com.au I can't believe I'm commenting on a handbag either...very confusing.

OK. Am I the only one that just found their website and went squeeeeeee (new website to look at)

Im blaming the painter/paint fumes that's currently happening in my office

I like the look of the Baggallini. Think I know what my mum is getting ahead of her next trip to HNL.

I currently use a Tumi Devon crossover bag in hot pink Amazon.com: Tumi Devon Black Nylon Crossbody Travel Bag: Clothing to carry my wallet, phone, small camera and passports etc.

I am also using a nappy bag but I'm blaming that on the fact that I am traveling with a 6 month old and a 2.5yr toddler. Although the outside drink pockets are a bit of a stretch for some bottles and don't fit in his drink bottle due to its wacky shape. As my hands need to be free to wrangle the toddler, all carryon needs to be worn (including the baby). If you see a packhorse with a bright pink bag, come and say hi!
