Ladies who shop !!

For those buying baby clothes, check out Next. Ships from the UK, usually for free and arrives in a matter of days. Prices are really good and the quality has been great. I buy far more clothes for Miss TC than myself these days 🙈

Agree Blackcat20 - I found Next a couple of years ago. Ezibuy also sell Next but it is a lot more expensive than Next australian site for exactly the same thing.

I bought a pair of Hobes (Hobes | Timeless Footwear Basics). They are very light as they aren't lined at all and very flat but they are comfortable. They were good to take away to wear on the ship over Christmas. I bought the Boat shoe style.

Interested to know, but a few years ago people got into trouble when buying from Mothercare (?) UK where the goods were held up by customs. Assuming that is not the case now?

Funny, I found the service in the Sydney store better than Melbourne so if Brisbane is better than Sydney.......
Both times I have visited the Brisbane store, they made sure the fit was good and took their time. In Sydney they kind of threw shoes at me and came back ages later to ask if I wanted to buy them....One woman seemed to be doing all the work while the others stood around and chatted!

Frankie4 shoes without a doubt.

Bared get some good reviews but 2 friends have both hated them.

Just had a look - looks good as well. All these shopping opportunities opening up to me :)

Frankie4 are good - designed by a podiatrist and a physio!

I also love Mephisto/Mobils, but they’re hard to find in my size in Oz. (US women’s 11)

Thanks for the tip. The Next website says no problem with duty.

The added incentive to purchase online again for me is the postage is free if your order is over $35, and just $6 if under $35.

I had stopped ordering from Fortnum & Mason, Harrod’s and The National Trust shop etc as the UK to Oz charges for post and packaging were very expensive.

I have never paid any duty. Delivery is fairly quick - but the "tracking" is hopeless - definitely NOT in real time.

Have to say there were actually quite a few more I could have bought.
Some very cute ankle boots...other casual ones lol
I did wonder how much bigger and better the Brisbane store was as I found the Sydney one to be quite good
Brisbane one was smaller but service was better (at least that was my experience).

I have shopped in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and Melbourne is my clear favorite for range and service. Some staff in the Melbourne store have been there for years and they really know their shoes.
Haven’t been to the Melbourne on yet :)
