Ladies who shop !!

Nervous excitement here - my bridesmaid dress arrives tomorrow. I tried on the same style (but different sleeves) but in a different colour and mine was then made to order.

I’ve bought the shoes...and the spanx!!

Thats exciting!

Im buying winter items via the US as their summer sales are too good to ignore. Going to Iceland in April year so puffer jacket, thermal leggings and polartec fleece vest for myself for $70 inc delivery and bought hubby a fleece lined, wind proof/water resistant outdoor cargo pants (in dark grey/black-not camo as hubby feared) for $36.00 inc delivery.

All very boring but prepare for blizzard, hope for the best.

I generally look around to find item plus shipping but ebay, amazon, Macys ect but the puffer jacket I got from Full Beauty (because Im a fat chick) and the pants I got from Cabelas (limited sizes available/why so cheap) and although their standard shipping said 8-10 weeks (nuts), got them in about 2 weeks (which is the norm for USA postage).

And coupons! The puffer jacket I got was reduced to $40 plus a 50% Memorial Day discount code and the thermal leggings was something stupid like $7USD and I also got a % discount on those.

Thanks Denali, I am just back from a few weeks in California and swore blind I would not shop again till November when I am in Hawaii but I just don't seem to be able to help my self.

Tous shipped the bags Mrscove bought online quickly. She gets lots of comments about their style so she bought her sister a present. Their shop in the US is in New York.

Grrr the flanette sheet discussion was in OT. I think I have you to blame @Denali for the discussion. Bed Bath N Table had 50% off Morgan & Finch so got a KB sheet set for $67.

Pleased to say that the bridesmaid dress fits perfectly. Needs taking up which was expected - they deliver them long so you can hem to need. But I don’t like the sleeves - however my friend’s Mum is a gun sewer so she can fix them up.

And...Everlane finally restocked the cognac Market Tote which I’ve been wanting for ages so leapt on that this morning when I got the restock email notification.

There were some Tumi smaller luggage for sale at our local US Costco. I saw Mrscove lift one into our trolley. It was $339.99 instead of about $560USD. I grabbed the 2 Samsonite bags for $119.99 too as that pair is the lowest we have ever seen them.

@Denali, have you been to Alaska or Antarctica? You may find when having bought the gear that other uses for become more attractive. ;) My reading of Iceland is that top and bottom waterproofs are essential.

I've been to Alaska and would like to return as husband hasn't been there yet ;)

Re flannelette sheets. I bought Jenny Mclean Abrazo deep wall and very happy with fabric and feel and going to buy another set after winter. Totally missed the warm wash only and tossed in cold wash and dryer with no problems. Love how the top sheet seems bigger than my cotton top sheet, so no battle wars with hubby.

I chucked mine in the dryer yesterday without an issue.

Oh geez..the bed was so snuggly and warm last night! I even used the top sheet - first time in many years.

I though of drron and mrsdrron when I was in Orlando last month. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency on International Drive, and took the I-Drive trolley to the south outlets (Vineland Rd) on my first day there.

I'm sure you've been there before?

Yes ! several times, we stay at the Hilton Grand Vacation complex right next door - they even have a gate into the outlet mall carpark. :)
So what did you buy ??

The Del Amo Fashion Center is probably the closest major shopping mall that is not too far south of Los Angeles Airport. You go down 405 South to Hawthorne Boulevard and head west. It was under construction for what seemed like years but it is now complete.
To assist those who don’t shop there are cinemas and Johnny Rockets out to one side.

Shopping is a huge part of our holidays and have visited many outlets over the years recently visited Gilroy outlets, Pismo Beach and Camarillo, have to say Camarillo was probably the best of the three on our way back down to LA, it was huge but found some of the shops were repeated.
I found my first Ross Dress for Less store in San Francisco in about 1997 and have always made a point to seek them out wherever we are since, has led to some interesting places inland that we would never have seen before, have to say some are better than others but always find a bargain. We visit most of them on Oahu too.
