Noticed this got cancelled yesterday (at least according to the AKL iPhone app!)... is this a frequent occurrence? Considering booking one of these for 2Q 2010, but kind of need to be sure I'm back on the day expected...
It seems that QF codeshare on this flight, how likely would it be to be able to transfer to another Oneworld/QF flight should a cancellation occur?

I suggest that this is a rarity. I have used this flight a few times without issue. :D

That would be interesting...Would they transfer passengers to a Qantas flight or would they provide accomodation till the next available LAN flight ?

But fingers crossed cancellation is a rarity with LAN....

From the few instances I've heard of this happening, the pax have been re-accommodated on either Qantas or Air NZ.

I flew with them for the Syd-Akl route twice. It was delayed for 3 hours n one occassion and 40 minutes for the other. Don't expect them to contact you as they do that out of their Santiago office and they can never get the phone no right.

I have had a two hour delay on a AKL-SYD leg and I was notified by phone from Sydney just as I was getting into bed. Considering the OMG hour that the flight runs the 2 hrs extra in bed was very welcome.

And this has been reported happening just recently on AFF ;)

NZ one way, QF the other.

i imagine that this would mean a kybosh on any QFF points (if being accomodated on Air NZ)?
