Latest AA Bonus Miles Offer (ends Dec31)

Has anyone had their bonus bonus miles post yet (the extra 20% bonus of 12,000 miles)?

I'm also waiting for it. I want to make a booking with 90k miles but ATM I only have 79k so I really need this bonus.
Hope the availability is still there when the points come in.

AA collectors might also look at Rocketmiles Which often gives large bonus miles on hotel bookings. Strongest offering is in USA but there are some available in Australia and Asia. Probably best if you have a business travel allowance.

For anyone who purchased the miles and received the bonus holiday gift email, did that email (offering the extra 20% miles) come from AA or points.com?

Thanks :)

The email came from [email protected]

It is AA branded and doesn't seem to mention points.com anywhere as I glance through it
Hmm, thanks Bofter. I emailed points.com on Monday morning US time and am yet to receive a response, so I might try contacting AA.

An update for anyone who may be in the same boat, points.com got back to me just after I emailed AA (of course!) saying their marketing department is still sending out bonus emails and the remaining ones should make their way out in the next couple of days.

Just got the e-mail 15 minutes ago and 20% bonus miles promptly selected :)

Guys I got the bonus email pretty early (maybe two weeks ago or more) and promptly selected 20% more miles but until now they haven't posted to my account.
Should I be worried ?
Or did they initially say the points would take X weeks to post ?
Has anyone received the additional 12k miles yet ?

Cheers

Same here, but some got the email later so maybe AA will post the points for everyone at the same time.

I haven't got my 12k bonus points either as yet in my or Mrs S account. In the fine print for the 20% bonus it says by the 31st Jan they will post, so a few more hours to go in the states still...

This seems to be new (up from 60,000):

Each AAdvantage member is limited to purchasing or receiving, in a calendar year, a combined total of no more than eighty thousand (80,000) AAdvantage miles.

It is, wonder if its an inevitable precursor to devaluation.

An optimist would see it as perhaps reflecting nothing more than the new owner wanting to tap more into buy miles cash as they have done with USDM. Given the recent trends in other US FF programs however I am not sure whether being optimistic is the right course here. :(

Still no 20% bonus posted. Anyone's in their account as yet?

No I am waiting as well on 4 accounts shifty so do not panic. Maybe they picked on Perth people!

Did the last time the annual cap was increased end up being a precursor to devaluation ?
Or are you saying there's more chance of it now due to the merger etc ?
