But only ever once had an offer for BP.

Was going to fill up at BP today to get my triple points, but the price per litre has gone up 20c overnight . Funny that I didn't notice the price of oil going up yesterday eh?

It's disgraceful isn't it? I just happened to spot fuel at $1.14 ($1.10 after discount) on Tuesday and thought I'd better fill up even though I had over a quarter tank left. Next day the same petrol station was at $1.38. Funnily enough this was a couple of suburbs away - around my area prices have stubbornly sat above $1.30 for weeks.

I have activated several bonus points with BP on have yet to receive any bonus points, how long do these take, and does anyone know who to contact to claim these points

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points*
- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit
- Don't forget the two complimentary Qantas Club lounge invitations and two visits to the Amex Centurion Lounges in Melbourne and Sydney.

Do out-of-date Velocity cards work? I didn't get my new one until a month after it expired and mine still worked but I was wondering how long an old card would work.

pretty sure they do.

I rarely get offers, but my husband gets them frequently. I am the main purchaser of fuel (and we buy a lot- we do 800 kms a week), I've no doubt the bonuses are a carrot for the less frequent user...

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether a temp card could be sufficient for the double/triple points promo (Mrs andye filled up while her card was in my wallet)

Think my Velocity card is 2-3 years old and still works.

It should; the T&Cs say you can use a temp card. Not sure if it is a hassle to get it sorted out or not, never used one.

You are right-it worked

Received an email that I'd achieved first weeks spend and 250 bonus Velocity points. No email for achieving second weeks spend.

Love the inconsistency.

Same here. I am guessing they send the first one out to remind you to go back. There isn't really a marketing need for the second email.

I just noticed in the T & C's for the triple points offer that you may need to wait for up to 5 weeks after the end of the offer. I was about to send them a terse email but will now have to wait until about the middle of Dec to see if bonus points turn up...grrr

So it's been 5 weeks after the promotion, still no points. I called up last week (14/12), and was told that there was a delay and that I should have the points by the end of the week. Nothing turned up, so I called again today.

Apparently their latest update as of Friday is "another couple days to go". I pointed out that it has already been technically a couple of days since Friday, but they told me to call back later this week (hmm will they work on Christmas day I wonder?).

Watch this space...

I am not happy with this or other targeted offers. I have therefore decided to enhance my purchasing power by not purchasing fuel from BP in the foreseeable future .

An absolute waste of time
