My intention is to be there, barring unforeseen circumstances, and the time sounds OK. Out of interest what time does the lounge close? I'd hate to just be settling in and be booted after a couple of drinks. :shock: Also, I'm off to the QF FT AGM in BNE the following morning so may consider overnighting at the airport - it's a bit of a trek for me to get there so may as well try and minimise to-ing and fro-ing.

You may well be right!

I just checked the VA site, which reckons it's open till last flight is called. There appears to be an LST flight at 2200 and a DRW one at 0145 (!) so I guess it is going to be quite a late closure. Which will fit in if I want to overnight.

I'm also considering this. Fly down from BNE about 1pm, arrive late arvo, check into HI, back to airport, drinks, HI, next morning greasy breakfast then up to Brisbane for the AGM.

Still not 100% confirmed, but definitely interested.
