I'd cancel my 6pm flight to be there to see that!

Sent from my iPhone using AustFreqFly app

PS. I'm sure if you want to stay for a little bit and catch up with some AFF'ers you can ask the lounge angels to put you on a later flight.

I'm disappointed that I'm not going to be there but it is not possible to make it to every event. I'll see some of you in Brisbane on Saturday.

LiamR has asked me to give a gentle reminder that everyone attending this get together is representing AFF.

Remember that the gathering is at a busy time for the lounge and that any poor behaviour within the lounge will reflect directly on LiamR as the event organiser and on AFF. It is also important that the AFF group should not disrupt any real customers on the day.

I just sent a message to LiamR saying I can attend. My first AFF get together.
Just have to work out transport after the event.

That's OK. I've registered as <insert straitmans's real name here> for the event, so I have carte blanche! :p

Seriously though its a good point you (and LiamR) make. Groups, no matter how quiet and respectable they start out, inevitably get loud after a few go down the hatch (witness a certain hotel exec lounge before Xmas ) so we do need to be mindful of this. Even after a few!

Nicely put Straitman. One must remind the charges from time to time of the rules of engagement

I know you'll all be on your best behaviour, so hopefully I shouldn't have to tap anybody on the shoulder and ask them to settle down. We all just need to be considerate of others in the lounge, as Friday night is generally a busy time.

To make it easier for us all, there will be a special AFF section blocked off for our exclusive use. I'll let you know where that is, once I find out.

Look forward to meeting you all, I'm sure it'll be a really great night!

I didn't realise you were coming along too. I thought it was all in aid of my bid to retain platinum with IHG!! :p :p

I'll bring a couple of these along so you can wear your Platinum cards.

After all, nobody will know who you are, right?

And does anyone in MEL want to brave public transport to the event together?

I will probably walk to Southern Cross and get Skybus. Time is TBC - I might be a little bit late as I will be coming from a work party.

I'll be sending off the final list of attendees tomorrow morning, so if you are still interested in attending, let me know asap!

Sorry I won't be able to make it to MEL. All this jetsetting has a cost, and unfortunately I'm not awash in cash right now.

I probably won't even be able to make it to OOL to officially kick you out of the State. :p

Have a good time anyway.

Yep, pop me down as confirmed.. will take the Skybus up after workPM to be sent

Looks like i'll be on old El Skybus as well.
Anyone have an ETD from Southern Cross for those taking this option?

Hi Liam,

Sorry, I can't make this one as I'm on a one day boot camp (Gold Coast) on the Saturday.

Hope you go really well in MEL, I hope your career change works out spectacularly well and I hope you don't forget us mere mortals up here on the GC!

Have a fabulous evening..........and I'll be wishing I was there!

ok I am arriving on DJ862 at 18:05 unless I get an earlier flight from SYD..

Does anyone planning to catch Skybus want to meet at Southern Cross?
