Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

QF could 'enhance' LT status to say 19k LTS, 38k LTG and 75k LTP to make the thresholds more 'sensible'.

As an aside, I have relied on my LTG status for two full years now and only received SG benefits on a single (BA Y) flight only...

So you didn't get priority boarding or priority check in? Or you were flying J/F on the other flights? :)

Thank you to the member who reminded me that chasing AA LTG by flying 335K BIS miles would only give me OW Ruby status.

Ah yes, had forgotten that little kernel of information. Not worth chasing then as I’ll already have QF LTG (and LTQC) so access when I head to USA (although not likely to fly AA much as VA/DL more likely).

Off to check out BAEC then and the tricks of that program. @Flashback and @JessicaTam to the white courtesy phone...

Happy to chat in a couple of weeks! ;)

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they bumped up the qualification for LTG given the constant DSC periods they have. Or maybe they just have them to make up for how rubbish the earning and burning is...

I have been WP for the last 8 years. Last status year I did not credit anything to QF, and so this weekend just gone I have dropped to LTG.

Good thing I have another program to fall BAck on.

Although you have to be wary of it sometimes! I just lost 1m Avios, seems my GUF2 redemption wasn't processed correctly. Worrying e-mail to wake up to! All back safely in my account now, though.

Flashback you were almost not a millionaire over there in Avios land. We never started on that journey. We stayed with Kris, AA, Virgin and Qantas and our family loves our points and miles.
We are LTG and our two sons are nowhere in status but have serious amounts of points and miles. I don’t think they will bother going for status as they can get business and first redemptions without it.

I have also crossed the line in February and dropped from WP to LTG and very lucky to be gifted Virgin Platinum through AFF and now I can't fly anywhere when I had so many plans for this year :(

Decided I needed to get a refund for my last QP but decided to wait until things calm down as I'm sure it's not high on the priority list for Qantas right now (and it shouldn't be either)

Finally crossed the finish line last week. Updated tally in my signature.

Woo Hoo! to you both! :D

I'm planning to take this route as well, so let me know when you start the process and I'll also start on my end.

I have a theoretical interest as I had 1 mth of QP leftover when I dropped to LTG and never pursued it. Interested to know whether refunds available.

Refund is definitely available for unused QP credit once getting to LTG, many posts available if you do a search. You could just send something online instead of calling.

I know I could email but there are a lot of people having a tough time right now and I'd rather wait until this is over so they have a chance to respond to the people that need their attention now

Sure, this is for the other people reading, but when I did it, a completely different team handled this issue - not a front line res or QFF person who are the ones dealing with the current situation. Who knows if that has changed.

They are probably all pretty busy right now.
