But the amount of ink for those three letters would cost a fortune on BP’s into the future… :p
ahh, but those BP's already have the "ink" coated across the paper, just turning it black with heat where appropriate.;)

That's worth another 5c on top of the ticket due to higher electricity prices brought to you by the carbon tax. :)

Be careful what you wish for! The likes of BA have already got the dirts over QP members.....if they could recognise you as a non elite that was gifted lifetime membership - who knows what could happen.

Whats the issues with the pommies?

They seem not to like paid membership & therefore, I'm assuming they would have a similar dislike for life membership.

Bizarrely though I found out last week that in my company (Head Office in UK) they give out BA Silver for FREE to anyone in the company (I assume there is an internal approval process).

Maybe the Chairman/CEO was made Premier and was given a packet of goodies to feed to the peasants;)

I do not think having LTG printed on your boarding pass/manifest is a good idea as it may turn out to be more of a liability than an asset (if you are not a WP as well).

As far as QF and most other companies are concerned, you are only valuable if you are currently using the services of the company (a 'real' SG). Although you may have been a good customer previously, that really means nothing to QF if you are not a good customer now. In fact, you are actually a liability to QF if you are relying on your LTG status (even though they should have budgeted for this).

Therefore, there may be an attitude within QF that LTG are really SG- rather than SG+ as the OP may want to believe. This may be the case even if you earned SG the hard way, as the LTG status would still be shown and there would be no way to show SG had actually been earned.

It is best to keep the current system of one level of SG. The only negative is people will not know who you are are.... And that is what forums like this are for.
