Oooh. My baggalini arrives Monday.
I fitted the camera plus wallet, phone, plus all the normal junk in a handbag into a normal size handbag.
Have you bought a filter for it? My cap doesn't always clip on properly so bought a filter just to protect the lens. Ended up buying another in Dubai as it somehow got very grimy and had nothing to clean it with.
Will check out if there is an existing thread.

Hi Pushka

Was it you who did the desert trip? If so - can you share who it was with?

Yes 'twas me. We used Platinum Heritage Tours. Smaller group - up to 10 vehicles - renovated Range Rovers. Other groups have many cars - 4 WD. Not so exotic.

Only other thing i wanted to ask: would you still recommend the location where you watched the fireworks to future NYE goers?

Yep for sure. It was expensive though. Buffet was great. Free flowing alcohol which is exp in Dubai. It was very cold though so rug up. They do provide heaters and rugs too. You could also book a dinner in the area next to Burj near the fountains but we preferred the distant sky view.

Once Burj fireworks ended then dash to the balcony facing the sea (i.e. Looking at Khalifa it's on your right) and you can see the fireworks run all the way down to the sea ending at Burj al Arab.
