We watched lionesses getting ready to hunt. It was a bit early for them but it was decidedly creepy seeing the20180929- safari-79.jpg expanse of grass and large numbers of ears peeking out and all eyes watching a herd of wildebeest. This photo gives some idea - there were around 14 sets of ears

On our last evening at Sabora Jeremiah spotted what looked like a leopard in a tree. We had to go quite a way round a drainage ditch to get to it but were rewarded with two young leopards in a tree -brother and sister. Jermiah said they were old enough to hunt without their mother, so we settled down to wait. 20180930- safari-107.jpg 20180930- safari-116.jpg 20180930- safari-121.jpg 20180930- safari-129.jpg 20180930- safari-134.jpg

She had quite a bad cut on her shoulder, which Jeremiah said she wouldn't be able to reach to clean, so it might go septic. After watching her for an hour or so while she posed for us, she went off to hide, so we went home. for dinner20180930- safari-83.jpg 20180930- safari-84.jpg 20180930- safari-86.jpg 20180930- safari-88.jpg 20180930- safari-90.jpg

This trip is absolutely amazing - I am just in awe. That last photo of the cheetah needs to be framed.
Leopard - you need to know your spots :). Cheetahs still to come - they are my favourites!

Ps - the Leopard eyes are just magic aren’t they!

On the other hand, we just pay the airfare. Much less stress. :p
we’ve never booked an international award for ourselves, although I have done it for the kids and friends. However we have a heap of points burning a hole in our pockets and I noticed there are a lot of J awards to Fiji next August - Fiji in August sounds better than Canberra - right?

We were quite sad to leave my favoutite camp, but it was time to move to my favourite manor - Sasakwa. We had a sleep in, breakfast and then a slow drive lookin at bits and pieces. Jeremiah suggested stopping at the dam,

There was the very sad sight of a badly mauled Hyena. I don't think he had long to go and was just lying in the water looking very exhausted20180930- safari-185.jpg 20180930- safari-291.jpg
