Little Miss TomCat has landed!

We’re doing a very good job of sharing the duties; we’ve always been a good team and this is no different.

The Little Miss is now 2 weeks old and weighing in at 2.79kg. She’s doing very well, though we could do without the night owl behaviour from around 9pm till 1am. We’re hoping to move to feeding on demand once we’ve seen the nurse this week, rather than the current strict schedule.

So how are the parents?

A full nights sleep yet? Still looking at her with awe, love and sheer joy and wondering what the future holds?

Long may it last.

Once she's a good weight, feeding on demand will be easier though friend's daughter has twins and she found that she just had to have a strict schedule or she couldn't cope. Think it is easier with just one baby.

Babies are 7 months old now so a lot easier. In the end she went bottle as she found it too hard. Also has a 2 year old. Not helped by partner being away for 3 months at the beginning (and again now).

Sneaky little thing. You do know the saying “Never try working with animals” also applies to kidlets! Whatever you want them to do, they will do the opposite.

The upside is a heap of photos of her facial expressions, she’s quite expressive. I was hoping for some of those naked sleeping baby photos you see, but she was not at all interested in cooperating.

Why didn’t you use Tommy as the model instead? That would have given us a giggle if you posted those pics!!!

I've got a friend who photographs babies - she said she needs to get them in the first week or so to ensure they can get the good naked asleep shots. After that babies are more likely to wake up when being undressed and posed.

Don’t know about that - he looked rather fetching in that LBD I saw him in recently - although I think the gold jewelry really set it off - and the stilettos - oh the stilettos!

My friend uses photoshop for some of the odd poses but only if parents insist - you know the ones with the Bub leaning up resting it’s face on its hands etc. She has been weed and pooped on a lot but she loves babies so doesn’t mind.
