Little Miss TomCat has landed!

Congratulations on the first Mothers Day. See, she felt so bad that she wanted to make it up to you. Although long sleeps whilst breastfeeding isn’t in your best interest either (according to Mrs QF WP).

Whilst I’m in MEL today and tomorrow I’d decided against visiting because of the expected sleep deprivation issues @blackcat20 and @TomVexille, plus I have an 8am meeting tomorrow . Might give you a call - I’ll be back again a couple of times this year.

Apparently BDM have a backlog at the moment, we’re still waiting for her birth certificate. And we can’t apply for her passport without it. Calling gets a busy line, and when you do get answered the wait times are crazy.

Two hours on hold to speak to someone, and they've put a rush on it. Should have it by end of next week. Now to decide if we risk a standard passport application or rush that one....

Peace of mind = go for the rush job.

Our first international flight with the baby was at 6 weeks, didn't want to leave anything to chance, can't imagine how stressful it would've been creeping closer to the date without the documents.

That’s ridiculous. Glad you finally got it and will pass that info along to the family to get onto theirs when the time comes.

Make sure they register the birth and request the certificate online. Apparently our mistake was taking the form in in person...one would have thought it shouldn’t have made any difference.

Wow, I'm surprised by how long that has taken.
On the other hand, if you aren't a FF it may not be an issue :D
Us too, we expected it to take the stated 28 days but that’s from them ‘receiving’ it. Despite us lodging it in March they only processed it as being received in May:rolleyes: glad we scrapped a plan to go to NZ, we wouldn’t have been ready. And this is with bub arriving over three weeks earlier than we’d expected.
