Funny...... The app tells me that the Big W near Canberra airport is 0.3km away, which sounds about right, but the Woolies petrol station is 14955.3km away.

Is there only one local champion per store or can the store control this? I am the local champion at the local Coles and whilst shop there often I wouldn't think I would be the most regular shopper.

Only one per store and I'm pretty sure only AMEX control things, I don't think the store knows or has anything to do with the local champion.

They haven't in the past. The supplementary transaction get the local champion points, but they don't add to the local champion transaction total.

Previously a supplementary didn't receive points on my account when I was LC

My 7/11 local champion points are coming through a few days after the normal points are posting, but the Coles local champion points haven't posted so far :(

I have found that even though I can use Amex at certain stores and then see the transactions in my history, I'm then unable to add them to my local champion store lists, I have had this happen twice now one was Dominos and the other was IGA, should I contact Amex and see if I can somehow add these to my list?

Not sure anyone except Amex can tell you the answer to this, so would suggest its worth a go.

Can someone explain to me how do I play local champion? Sorry just new to this

You need to download the AMEX app on an Android phone or iPhone. You then logon to the app and it will have a list of some of the stores you've shopped at recently. You can then register up to 10 of those stores and try to become local champion.

I did that but then it has 1 transaction to go next to it. Does that mean after 1 transaction you become local champion? For a platinum charge card does that mean that once you become local champion you earn 4 pt per dollar spend on that store instead of 3?

Yes to both. However they've changed the system and at the moment you don't get the normal and the local champion points at the same time. I'm still waiting for some of my local champion points from two weeks ago to post.

So is it 3 points normal + 4 points for local champion for a total of 7 OR 3 points + 1 points for local champion?

You get whatever you are supposed to get + 1 for local champion. So with the Platinum Edge you normally get 3 points for supermarkets. If you are local champion you will get your 3 points, plus 1 additional point for being local champion. ie. total of 4 points.

Dont forget to split your payment in self serve, you'll be local champion easily, I also noticed that at some stores I don't go to that often, the number of transactions needed is going up, so I'm assuming others are playing and driving up the transaction requirements.

Well of course, if we can do it we'd be silly to expect that others cant work this out too.

Hi All
Does a supplementary card's transactions count towards the member cards champion total?
