Thankyou all for a very enjoyable evening, brisk cold air, local wildlife and all :)
Had a little bit of a headache this morning though, and couldn't think why until I remembered that dinner was some trail mix on BA  :p

The lack of sleep last night left me half-asleep this morning... had to make a quick sprint from the tube back to the mainline train to get my backpack which had a few very important items in there  At least it helped to warm up ;)

Plenty of snow up in the north of England now.

This would have to classify as the coldest AFF Do to date and the first to have snow I think...

So I have to fail LHR on my way back. 60 minute queue in Fast Track before even getting to the entrance. I queued why the regular queue was twice as long and actually moving when I had not moved in 15 minutes to be assured the regular queue was a lot longer once inside and the fast track was definitely faster. As I got to the x ray I saw someone who had overtaken me 20 minutes earlier. BAA need there shyte together. At least I got opup to J the whole way home!

Lhr fast track rarely is better. Lhr is a nightmare at best of times too. The slowness of security scanning must be improved on.

Guess I've been lucky. Always through in a few minutes...

Hmmm. Lets see if Heathrow improves for me.

And a belated Congrats on the J seating drewbles.

(Hopefully the slight headache has gone Princess Fiona. The second nightcap and cold weather is unlikely to have helped... )

Hey, I had no problems after my drinking haul

Got through in 4 minutes today at T5 South Fast-Track :)
No queue for the VAT refund desk either :D
Now in the Lounge with a glass of Taittinger awaiting my spa appointment.
It's a hard life but somebody's got to do it

Nice. Good to know fast track works well ... at times!

Have a safe and great trip back, oh and enjoy the lounge.

So you got the bag then

I did indeed, New Bond St flagship store.
Salesman appeared stunned that he didn't have to actually try to sell me anything :)

Yep, know the one. I prefer the service in there to the one at Selfridges (bunch of so and so's they are!!).

Agree. Selfridge staff are interesting at best.... avoid them when possible. Basically I see it as a rabble of stores side by side with very little customer concern.

Oh and having walked into one high end shop and ordering 4x one item once, I agree staff can get shocked when customers actually know what they want and are willing to buy it now.

Very little concern would be an absolute understatement....!

And home. It seems like quite literally last night we were all at drinks. The J upgrade, and a lot of sleep on the way means i'm now suffering jet lag (and I struggle to sleep on flights; almost 8 hours on the LHR-SIN and then another 3-4 on the SIN-MEL flight). I have no idea what time i'm in now!

Oh and Lindsay Wilson if you need me, i'm around now (you know how to find me anyway, PM me if it's urgent!).
