Hi everyone,

Will be over in the UK and France in August - my partner and I are planning on a week in Lonon first off. In the past we'vbe stayed in both Kensington, Thistle Trafalgar Square (great location, dreadful hotel) and Westminster (the Royal Horseguards is fantastic, Westminster Abbey was mind blowing).

Have been thinking about using a serviced apartment for the week - wondering and hoping that people have made use of these and can provide us with some tips. Will more than likely be travelling with a mate who has never been to the UK before, so he'll likely do the tourist things as well. So a 2 bedroom place would be ideal.

Hope to have those suggestions rolling in!

Cheers!

If you don't mind a basic apartment...but in a great location...at a bargain price.
Have a look at Endsleigh Court Apartments.

My family of 5 thought it great value.

Is an easy walk from Euston (Tube, main country trains like to Manchester)and St Pancreas (Eurostar) Stations ....and you can walk to many of London's main attractions if you wish from here as is so central.

Tubed to Buckingham Palace..and back from the Tower of London (my favourite London site)

We walked to theatre district from our apartment for several shows and dinner (about 15/20 minutes). The London Musuem is very close.

Also the hop-on hop off route is quite close as well.

Several mini-marts were naerby..as were Pubs and restaurants (go the next street over (towards St Pancreas) and you find many in both directions). There is also batch near Euston, or walk towards the Theatre District and you get a choice of hundreds, but witha longer walk.

PS: We had two different guys on the front desk.
One was a marvellous Londoner who was very friendly, but had never travelled more than 10km from London!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The other was younger and a bit of a grump.
