JessicaTam and Penegal could you please put the expensive wine away for a few more days:?:

Unfortunately our plans have changed and we won't be in Melbourne tomorrow night. We are stuck in the warm weather in Cairns for another day and then have to scurry straight home on Wednesday after we fly in.

I'll have a look at what other night I/we might be able to get back to Melbourne.

No worries, I will save the Grange for another time. Enjoy the warmth while you can.

Safe travel and we'll see you soon. By the way it's cold here, bring a jumper and a jacket.

All good! I do know that I'm in the market for a new leather jacket so if I can't find one in the Melbourne CBD, I never will!

I accept delivery via FedEx...

With the cancellation of drinks tonight, I will try to come on Sunday, otherwise see you at the next one.

erkpod - Enjoy your vacation :)

Oh hai, Melbourne! Nice to see you again! I'm on the Skybus on the way to my accommodation.

I've started a TR complete with pics in the TR section;

If anyone needs anything special for the after party, there's a Safeway & BWS next door.

Check out the Nixon downstairs ... ? :p

I think I passed it on the way to the hotel. I left the accommodation this morning & went to the Collins St side. It is almost directly opposite the terminus for the 48 & 31 trams.

I'm on a tram, Charlie!

I like the Melbourne tram network & it is a shame that the Sydney system was removed way back when.

I've just had an old friend contact me & we are going to catch up this afternoon.

Hard to believe it's the end of day 4 already!

So what's my plans for the rest of my time?

Sat arvo - Footy with Serfty

Sat night - free

Sunday day - free

Sunday night - AFF dinner at Blue Train at Southbank, after party at the Cheese Grater (my MEL apartment) in Docklands.

Monday (day/night) - free

Vlounge & fly home to Sydney Tuesday on VA 869.

If I'm around tomorrow evening I'll join you at the Blue Train :)

Although I was there yesterday (hope you all know it's moved, still Southbank but different location) and whilst I admire the awesomely decked out bathrooms, I was MOST disappointed to discover they have stopped doing the eggplant chips.

The last MEL drinks were at the new location, the bathroom was indeed a fascinating array.

(Previously was Walter's wine bar)

I had a great afternoon at the footy with Serfty - it was a good match and atmosphere at Eithad Stadium.

While I was getting a drink at Southern Cross, I saw this must have for any AFF member.

More pics etc to follow in my TR.
