I can highly recommend Bai Long on Hutt St for Thai. Concubine on Gouger St is also fantastic. Peel St as others have said is highly recommended. Their banana blossom chicken dish is my favourite.

I went to Bai Long the other night and it was excellent. I like Concubine as well. Press is another favourite

Can recommend Magill Estate kitchen. Plus the added wine tasting. Not far out of the city.

I’ve wondered what Khazana was like. It’s in our territory. Right near Dan’s.

We have the Tour of Versailles also on the Giverny day.

I may visit Dans and the adjacent fruit and veg regularly and have wondered about Khazana so will give it a try

Thanks for all the excellent replies and recommendations. As we're starting and ending our PVG trip in ADL, we will be back mid Jan 19, the final leg of the trip. Will do our level best to sample all the other hot tips in this thread.

Best fruit and veg there. We’ve probably crossed paths.

It's been a while since I've been in town but is Gaucho's (Argentinian) still open? (Grote Street?) I had a great feed there, Would be the worst vegetarian restaurant I've been in.;););)

Yes, still open on Gouger Street. Still cooking meats from various animals.

Mediterranean Cafe, Glenelg - lunch

I’m sorry to say that this was one of better meals we had during our stay in Adelaide... this is a positive vote for this restaurant, not so much for the others.

I'm there most weeks for work (and always bring a few colleagues with me). So naturally I do the booking and use the Qantas booking and collect a nifty 200-700 points each visit!! That does restrict the options of course, and they're happy with it as I've made good selections. So to the question at hand:
- Sosta - Argentinian on Rundle St is excellent, especially the $45 platter.
- Spaghetti Western on King William Street also top notch.
- Jasmine - Indian near Hindmarsh square as other have said is excellent (this isn't available via Qantas though)
- Mexican Society - On corner of Gouger and Morphett St. Also not available on Qantas.
- Nu Thai - Morphett St
- Star of Siam - In China town in Gouger St.
- Chopsticks - Viet/Chinese on Rundle St (not available on Qantas)
- Golden Boy - Thai on North Terrace up the Eastern end.
- Seans Kitchen - In Casino precinct
- Madame Hanoi - Also in Casino precinct.

Have sampled many others as well, but the above are the stand outs.

@amaroo did you eat at the Mayfair restaurant. I've always had great meals there and never had a bad meal at Peel St. Flavours are excellent

Cinnamon Club on The Parade is a newish discovery. The Banquets are a cracker. Great price too. Now our fav Indian restaurant and we’ve tried the usuals.

We love the cinnamon club as well . The one at Henley beach. And it’s a minutes walk from home

Will have to give that a whirl when next in town. Must be around the corner from the out-laws.

Not this trip - ran out of time. We’ll be back in Jan so will give it a go then.

Luigi Delicatessen - Breakfast

Very busy, and very nice. Great staff and coffee. Recommended.
