Probably because the draw was done and run by Tattersalls in Melbourne and broadcast (late) from Ch 7 in Melbourne.

and according to Melbourne media, Melbourne is the centre of the world.;)

I was just watching the late news. Ch 7 in Melbourne are under scrutiny as the draw was done at 8:34pm but not shown to the public until until 8:47pm. They have a please explain to answer in the morning from the Lottery people and the Government for delaying the telecast.

I wonder how they will explain it.

(I was watching another channel at the time, so can't comment on what you got to watch while waiting)

We in Melbourne don't even bother watching TV for the draw - simply go online and check relevant websites - like AFF :p

Well, our group of four won 2 div 7s and a div 6 out of our 72 game entry, netting us a whopping $46.85.

There has been a unilateral decision to let it ride on a powerball entry for tomorrow night's $15million draw.

I got quite excited about getting a division 6, which is better than nothing!

More than the meagre payout, nothing like the rush of adrenaline when the numbers start lining up on the ticket. ;)

Zilch, zip, nada

Letting it ride on powerball  it has even worse odds than ozlotto. buy 4 $10 scratchies, at least then there is a 1 in 4 chance of getting a prize per ticket.

Ok I made an 80% loss playing OzLotto! Having collectively played ~$100 in various syndicates; work, friends, family and then my own personal entries. I won back a reported ~$20!

IF you work on percentages then you did better than I did, as I lost 100%. IF however you work on dollars then I did better as I only lost about $20. :D
