Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Can I use the qantas club lounge at Sydney T3 if I am travelling later in the day on a jetstar flight? or are there special rules at Sydney since T2 and T3 are separate?

I have a qantas club membership and a 3hr layover in sydney before a jetstar flight in the evening - so want to twaddle over to the qantas club lounge in T3 to relax

Will I be able to get in?
Yes you can as long as you have your JQ boarding pass

Hi all I am flying on CX from Melbourne on the 0100 flight to HK in J. Cathay website says to use QF Int Bus Lounge, but from memory that closes really early. CX website says access to Aspire lounge for Silver members only.

IS there another lounge for CX business?

Hi - am wondering if I have status with Virgin, then I assume I can get into the Gold Lounge in Singapore, but can I use SIA partner lounges where they don't have their own? e.g. flying to Maldives (Male) which has a SIA partner lounge (Leeli Lounge), can I use that one as a VA WP?

Kind of new to this but with recent credit cards i have unlimited visits Priotiry Pass and Qantas Club Membership.

I'm flying form Syd- Qld and back next week.

Which benefits should i use?

Which airline and where are you returning from in QLD?

If flying QANTAS you can use QF Club in SYD T3 and possibly on return if there is a lounge.

Flying Jetstar from SYD T2 is less practical to access the lounge.

I'm flying with Qantas both ways, Sydney to Coolongatta.

So i'm guessing i'll be in Terminal 3.

Priority Pass seems to get me $72 off my bill (me=guest combined) at 'Bar Roma' or 'Wok on Air'.

Would it be worth using this or is the Qantas lounge just as good value?

Credit card versions of Priority Pass tend to no longer provide the dining credit. I think some might, but Amex ones don't. You should check this prior.

The Qantas Business lounge closes after the last Qantas Flight boards. That is generally the 11:25pm flight to AKL. It does not operate every day.

it seems the Aspire Lounge (House) has been made available of for Cathay Silver (Equivalent oneworld Ruby) flying CX. it may be available to you after the Qantas facility closes - really there should be no harm is trying as there appears to be no other option.

For SYD T3, I'd say it depends on how long you are there, and what you plan to eat, drink and do... but...

Is there a reason you couldn't do both?? Eat at the PP choice you prefer first, and then move to the Qantas Club (QP) to relax and snack or drink as you wish until it's time to go to the gate. If you have an unlimited+guest Priority Pass Select account, you could probably do all 3! 🤓 I don't think it is limited by terms?

Edit to add: you could do the same or similar at OOL coming back. Eat at the restaurant or cafe, and then go to the Club after.

IMHO, the food and drinks would absolutely be better at either/any of the PP places than the QP... or the J lounge, for that matter. It's a pretty sad affair these days in the land of QF lounge buffets and bain-maries.

Cheers,
Matt.

Just booked a FP trip for winter school holiday, but have to deal with a slight awkward return flight of 3am departing from PPT to AKL then onwards back to MEL. (with AirNZ)
For anyone had experience before, is there any possibility with early check in, and if the lounge operated by Air Tahiti open past midnight? From the search on PriorityPass, it appears the opening hours for this lounge is only towards midnight.
We will be travelling with a 6 year old boy so trying to figure out what’s the best way for the last night/morning to handle early morning hours.
My alternative plan is to book a room at the across street motel and checkout past midnight.
Love to hear any past experiences and tips :)

Flying into LAX on Thursday, connecting to an AA domestic flight to SLC. 10hr connection. Classic reward business class on both legs (even if AA call it first). Qantas club and QF silver. Just want to confirm what I think my lounge access is.

AA Flagship lounge (arriving on a OW business class fare with a same day connection)
AA Admiras Club (Qantas club membership).
No access to QF lounges in TBIT.
Not sure about Alaska, but probably woudon't bother in any case.

I my understanding correct?

You can access TBIT lounges. Once you drop your bag off go through security at TBIT to take you back airside. You’ll also have access to the QF J lounge but the AA Flagship is probably the better based on previous comments but since you’ve got time, try both and report back!

AS should also be in play off the back of in bound J ticket.

@Craig22, how did you go with this? I know you didn’t have Oneworld lounge access rights, but what about through Jetstar?
I doubt they had any Jetstar access.

Check the Jetstar link in post 3.

That indicates Business Max lounge access is only available before flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast,, Denpasar, Bangkok, Singapore & coughet.

no lounge access but there's a place in the north part of the main international terminal where you can get a 15 min shower for 600y and that did the trick. only caveat is that you've got to remember to get a towel for 210y before you shower. there's a power point in the booth to charge devices as well.

That's great advice, especially as the JQ flight is late evening. Many thanks @Craig22

Slightly off topic but in a similar vane... If a QF Platitinum, travels on Jstar MEL-SIN- BKK, does that person and their companion (no status) still get to use the F lounge at MEL and SIN? I know it works for domestic but I have only ever used one world on international.

Whether in Y or J?

You likely fly SIN-BKK during the day at which time the F lounge will be closed.

OH yes, that is good information thanks. The one I looked at was MEL to BKK in the afternoon with an overnight in Sin then a mid morn departure from SIN. So there would be no lounge at all then?
