Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

It used to be that VA pax travelling Int (on codeshares) from ADL and I think OOL can use the VA d lounge. Not sure if still true for VA2
The VA website does not mention travelling on a VA flight for Plat and Gold (compared with J PAX who’d get the PP lounge anyway on SQ):

Relying on the absence of something isn’t as good as an emphatic inclusion….

The top of that page says "when travelling on Virgin Australia flights."

I clicked through to ADL. It seems odd “belts and braces” to then state J on a “VA flight”?

The Flagship lounge terminal D at DFW is actually very decent.

It’s been a while since I was at MCO but I’ll be there end of this month so I’ll report back.
From memory the AA club wasn’t flash.
I also have a Plat Charge card so if I have time I’ll check out the other options. I think there are two accessible ?
Would appreciate your take on the lounges at MCO.
Thanks :)

Not up to much I’m afraid.
2 story AAdmirals Club that is very small, cramped with a mediocre food offering and even worse alcohol.

Didn’t have time to go check out the Amex PP options
It's a step up from 15 years ago when there was no AA facility.

Hi team,

I'm flying BA from LHR to BLQ in May with an early morning departure. The flight is from Terminal 5 and I'm economy, but hold Qantas Gold, Qatar Gold and Virgin Platinum status. I've had a look at the Oneworld website and it seems like there are quite a few options in T5, does anyone have a recommendation on what would be best?

There are 3 lounges you can use.
BA Galleries North and South and the B gates lounge.

I’d just go to the one closest to your departure gate.

And if you have the time, try all three.

Was travelling on a Qatar economy flight with OW Sapphire status and wanted to get into a Marhaba lounge in Europe that was listed by Qatar and Oneworld as one of the lounges at that airport. Mainly wanted to get in as I was travelling with others in the group who thought they could get into the same lounge using Priority Pass/Plaza Premium.

Strangely we were all not allowed in....

Was told they weren't part of Plaza Premium or Priority Pass despite them being listed for on the respective websites
Was told can't go in with OW status/Qatar flight (even though lounge listed on both websites) and should go to another lounge in the airport - but they even had a Qatar logo right outside the lounge!
Also wasn't offered the option to just pay directly to use the lounge. I thought that's how they made money?
I kinda got the feeling the person at the desk just didn't like our group for whatever reason. I hope it wasn't because we weren't European/business looking.... The lounge was not full at all from what we could see

I thought these paid lounges got paid by airline/Priority pass each time someone used their benefit to get in?
Or did they stop being partners and all these websites were wrong?

Which airport and lounge was this ?

So, just found out I do not have access to any lounge when flying with Virgin Australia on a fully paid business ticket from MEL-DPS. WTF are Virgin doing?

I am in the process of looking at different flight combos for Europe or maybe even North America next year.
It may mean cancelling my trip to Singapore in Nov on QF1 on a F award on my birthday 😭😔
One option I am looking at is CX Syd-Hkg in J connecting to Hkg-Lhr in F as an award ticket all on one PNR for 225K points.
My OWE status will expire towards the end of this year.
Just checking that I would have access to the Qantas First Lounge in Syd based class of service of Hkg to Lhr being in F?
In London I would likely have a separate booking - a J award thru AY to elsewhere in Europe.
Checking I would also still have access to the Cathay First Class Lounge at Lhr?

No unfortunately no access to QF F at SYD.
You can only access from a Short Haul / Domestic business class connecting to Long Haul First.
Both of these sectors are Long Haul defined as greater than 5 hours flight time.

You will have F lounge access at LHR as connecting to a SH flight.

Thank you Princess Fiona. I had a slight feeling that might have been the case.

Hi,
I'm looking to book a KLM business class flight from AMS to Syd which the last leg is Qantas but a KLM code number. Do I get access to the QF lounge at Singapore before the last flight as the layover is long ish?

Thanx
