We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Thanks so much. When I go on the Priority Pass app I get the following lounge options in Osaka KIX Terminal 1

ANA Lounge (looks the most promising)
Card Members Lounge Kongo
Card Members Lounge Annex Rokko

There's also Card Members Lounge Rokko but it shuts at 12:30 and we depart at 21:00

Any thoughts on which of these would be best? Happy to pay

Ah ok - I have a Mastercard with another lounge product associated, and don’t see the ANA one. I’ve not been through KIX myself, so can’t comment on which is best; hopefully some experience on here, though!

Does anyone know if it's possible to transfer a Qantas lounge pass to a Jetstar passenger (not self)? The transfer process seems to offer two routes: 1) Transfer to your own Jetstar booking reference; 2) transfer to another person's Qantas FF account (presumably they then link to their Jetstar booking -- if that's eligible). If anyone's managed to do this, I'd appreciate any advice.

From memory, I TFd from my Qf account directly using their name and Jq flight details....you then get an email which you print off and they present at lounge entry.

Hi All. Looking at going to Europe next year in BC on points. If I'm lucky enough to snag seats do you get access to the lounge in Singapore and Dubai?

It's impossible to get seats out of Perth, so will fly to Singapore. More availability.

Hi Caz,

Yes, if you can manage to get Emirates business class you'll have access to the Emirates lounges in Singapore and Dubai (as well as whatever lounges Emirates use in Europe for your return trip).

Try to snag business class in an A380 rather than a 777: it's much more comfortable. And be aware that if you're using Qantas points, Emirates' carrier charges are astronomically high.

Yes. You won’t get chauffeur transport though if using QF points.

They should be. The only weird lounge access rules in Europe are at LHR

Sydney lounge access question:

My family are travelling on in business class with Sri Lanka airlines LHR-CMB-SYD, we then have a 5.5 hour layover in Sydney before flying home SYD-ADL with Jetstar. Flights were booked via Qantas using points.

I want to know if we are able to use a lounge in Sydney.

Oneworld website says if we are travelling international longhaul in business and connecting domestic in economy with oneworld airlines then we can access the lounge. However, Jetstar is not a oneworld airline. Unfortunately there were no Qantas points seats available (or anything with a shorter layover).

Given we are arriving from a business flight is there any way we can access a lounge in Sydney for thr long layover? I’m aware if we can get in a lounge it will be a different terminal. TIA.

Jetstar is not a oneworld airline, so any class of service rule for connecting flights is not applicable.

You can pleasantly try, but expect to be nicely rejected.

The only thing is that per the table, note 2 only applies when the Platinum member is flying an Emirates flight number. In this instance, the Platinum member is flying the Qantas flight number. I assume this is an oversight on the website though.

You are correct - I missed the possible significance of the column heading. @pjm99au's anecdote gives hope however.

Basically what we're looking at is booking my partner parents on EK ticket stock for QF35 (as they don't care about QF status and their return flight on EK metal is cheaper) and we book on QF stock ourselves on the same flight but take different return options due to timing. But my partner and I are the ones holding the status.

This is different to my situation. I was a QF ticket on EK metal and my guest was on an EK ticket on the same flight. You could get caught by disclaimer 1 if they want to be difficult.
