Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Hi, I am a QF CL and am flying out of Bangkok on QF24. What lounges can I get guests into at BKK? I am flying J but the guests are flying economy. (I had a quick search but couldn't find the answer) Any recommendations about the best lounge are also welcome.
The options are EK, CX and QR or one of the Miracle lounges.
Only one guest in each case though you can pay for additional at the Miracles and, possibly, EK.
Having said that, I'm not sure if QR allow economy pax as guests.
My preference is CX when it's not too busy, but I suspect most here would go for EK or QR.

Yesterday morning I tried to access a miracle lounge as they have shower facilities.

But since MH "only pay for three hours" I was denied entry (6am for 11am flight). I went to the CX lounge for a couple of hours.

Did you try QR?
I believe it's open until 8.30am and the showers are in use again.

A quick update on what happened with getting 3 guests into Bangkok lounges: as Happy Trails and Serfty said, we were able to get into CX and EK (and could also have got into Miracles). With a bit of shuffling we managed to get everyone into one lounge or another. Both the CX and EK lounges were nice (and are opposite each other). Thanks for the advice.

Good to see @CorvettePete - The current CX lounge is a combination of the old CX lounge and the Qantas First lounge from the era where QF1/QF2 went via BKK.

The EK lounge occupies the area that used to be the Qantas Businiess lounge from around tbe same era.

Melbourne-ites...... Qantas lounge at T1 is airside ??? so I can't access if I have a JQ flight from T4?? (sorry not worth thread for a quick question) Trying to make my death* flight start in a good way.

From what I have read, apparently not possible to start a Death * flight in a good way. :(

Though see TV's answer below as he, being a Melbournian, will know.

Hi all, I’m fairly new to this forum and I wish I had joined earlier based on the insightful information available.

I wanted to ask a question which I can’t seem to get a straight answer from Qantas.

Next week I’m flying to London from Sydney via Singapore and am a Gold member. This flight will get me to platinum.

As I’m checked in and they can see my account, will Qantas allow me access to the First Lounge although I’m technically still Gold.

I’m not sure If I’ll travel international again in the period of being platinum and I’ve always wanted to visit the First Lounge.

<redacted>

Apologies to those who I messaged directly, as I mentioned, new to this and trying to manoeuvre around the site. Thanks everyone!!

You'll only be able to enter the first lounge after the status has been issued. On a London flight, they'll probably credit while you're in the air, so after you've taken off, meaning no first lounge for you.

I am not aware that complimentary first class lounge passes exist. Usually only for the business lounge (which you can access anyway as a gold).

I have in the past approached staff and asked them if I could have a quick look around. They did not mind. Its funny once you have the choice of both there is not much difference. But there is when relegated to the one only.

Your best bet would be asking in the lounge post (on mobile and can’t find it) for a Platinum/ P1 to guest you in. There’s usually plenty of us travelling so hopefully you’ll be lucky
ok thanks. I fly out from Sydney international next Saturday 19th.

So you are saying I will be able to get into the Pier? I never seem to be able to find the correct Qantas lounge and end up in this pokey thing with barely any food.
You'll have plenty of time to walk between lounges.

The Wing is to the left of the main immigration. Qantas and Gate 16 lounge a short walk on the opposite side. Then either the train down to gate 40 and the Bridge or walk down and the Pier is down to the right at gate 65. Nice walk between the lounges.

If you're on Qantas the EK lounge is near gate 40.
