Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

So you are saying I will be able to get into the Pier? I never seem to be able to find the correct Qantas lounge and end up in this pokey thing with barely any food.

Absolutely you will get access to the Pier F lounge. When we went through in October I had planned to visit other lounges but found it too good to leave so just camped there until the flight.

In HKG you can access:
QF
CX Wing F
CX Wing J
CX Bridge
CX Deck (near QF)
CX Pier F
CX Pier J

Edit: also Plaza Premium lounges at gate 1 and 40 by virtue of flying RJ

OT: While you are there, you might like to go out through immigration (but not into the luggage hall) to get your passports registered for their e-gates for future visits. It doesn't take long. PM/ring me if you want to know any details.

That seems like a good idea! Will do.

Yes, an Emerald you have access. I like to walk up to gate 63 (quite a walk from main duty free/wing/QF lounge area) and plane and people watch as I walk along the travellators. At around gate 63 on the left handside you will see the signs to Pier F and go down the escalators.

When you enter, turn right and you can book a massage there (they'll give you a buzzer) then can either shower, get a dayroom or proceed down to the dining area for a feed.

Don't be too concerned even if your RJ flight is at a gate below 25. It only takes about 8 min walk to get to gate 21.

Do you have any more information around this JessicaTam? Does this have any benefit on the inbound arrival as outbound smartgates can be used? I go up quite a bit with work so any time saver on the inbound arrivals side would be welcome despite HKG immigration being quite efficient in any case.

We are flying CX J, we have a transit of 7 hours. Do we have access to all the above lounges other than the F lounges. Best recommendations? I am sure we would like to have a shower in between flights too.

Flying CX J gets you into all the CX J lounges. The Pier seems to get the nod as the best.

Hi there,

Prefacing this with: i've already searched this forum but couldn't find an answer:

I'm thinking of flying CX JFK>HKG in First with a stopover in HKG (a few hours, not leaving airport) and then onwards with CX to Sydney in Business or Premium Economy.

Would I be able to access the Pier and the Wing lounges at HKG with the previous long haul ticket in First? (my understanding is yes if the next onward flight is with CX in J but I'm not sure about if the ticket was premium economy)

Thanks so much for your help!

Can an Emirates J passenger access the QF lounge in LHR ? I understand it might be considered inferior but I might want to try it out.

Interesting question; QF elites & J PAX need to be on EK metal to access tbe EK lounge, but Qantas seems to be less restrictive.

You can only try ... I suspect if you did get in you will be bemused as the EK facility has better F & B ...

IMHO the Qantas facility is really a Qantas Club with under the counter 'premium' availability as a sop to F/Cl/P1 PAX.

Hi, I am a QF CL and am flying out of Bangkok on QF24. What lounges can I get guests into at BKK? I am flying J but the guests are flying economy. (I had a quick search but couldn't find the answer) Any recommendations about the best lounge are also welcome.

The Cathay lounge is better than the various "Miracle" lounges but I believe you can only have one guest.

Depending on timings the EK and/or JL lounges may also be available - same guest issue.

Do Qantas have special arrangements for CL at international ports?
