Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

You get access to the Business Section SilverKris lounge at Melbourne (and any port other than SIN where a SilverKris lounge exists before a SQ flight).

As SIN, you have access to the *Gold lounges in T3 and T2, NOT the SilverKris lounges.

More here:
Thanks, Serfty, that's great.

I'm used to navigating just Qantas First and this flight I'd see what the Virgin partner lounges of Singapore Airlines are like.

Thanks

The SilverKris lounge in MEL isn't bad - it caters for both Business Class and status holders, so it is appropriate for that level.

But don't hold your breath for the KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN. It's bang average in my opinion. Admittedly it's designed to be like this - it literally exists to keep non-SQ status holders away from their (very good) Business Class SilverKris lounge, which already gets rammed at times from the number of flights operating and the high premium density.

Obviously not for this trip, but if you have a decent layover in SIN, I try and make the sector departing SIN be in Biz wherever possible so that I can access the SilverKris lounge. I only have access to KrisFlyer Gold for an 8 hour layover on the way to the US coming up soon (sadly not up the front for the sector departing SIN), and as a testament to how average I feel the KF Gold Lounge is, I will spend S$200 on a transit hotel for 6 hours and spend it in there instead.

I don't mind the Singapore KF Gold lounge tbh. It's been fine when I have visited. Much better than the equivalent QR lounge in Doha. Now *that* is a transit lounge zoo!

Hi All
I've been reading a lot about Lounge Access and still a bit confused, wondering if someone can help?
First trip this coming November ( economy) BKK to SYD as a QF Club member am I correct in thinking I have access to the lounge in BKK prior to my QF ( Finnair) flight ?
Next trip in March 2025 J class MEL / KUL with MH - can I access QF lounge in MEL prior to departure ?Once in KUL I have a 3 hr transit before continuing on Oman Air ( J Class) to MCT and IST - can I still access MH Lounge in KUL or go to Oman Air designated lounge?
Thankyou in anticipation .Cheers

@DElliott Here is the primary source for lounge access for QF Club: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/qantas...lounges/qantas-lounge-access-eligibility.html

For your first trip, if you are a QF Club member and booked your flight on a QF flight number you may enter.

For your second trip, as a J class passenger on a One World alliance flight you have access to all One World Business Class lounges at any airport so the choice is yours. (There is no QF Club lounge in international. Business lounges are typically better anyway.)

NB: Oman Air is not yet OW but hopefully will be by the time you fly.

I purchased a QF Classic Reward flight. Going to Colombia so I have a mix of LA and AA flight numbers to get there and back. No QF metal or flight numbers. I am a QF Club member so can I access any lounges? The whole itinerary is booked on an 081.... ticket. I understand the flight number rule but can the 081 ticket also help if i carry that paperwork with me?
Thanks

Proving 081 ticket stock is irrelevant. In this instance they are just issuing you a ticket and acting as the issuing agent.

You mentioned AA, so if you have AA flights from an AA hub with an AC, QC members should have access there. LA will show you no love unfortunately.

Thanks Richard I appreciate the insights. You have reminded me that AA should be accommodating. Even at LAX I have used their lounge before (at their terminal not the QF lounge) as a QF Club member. Such a shame at SYD, AKL and SCL I will have no love due to the LA flight number. I guess its another tick against those QF Classic Rewards Flights but I did get a ridiculously good deal so ill take the bad with the good.

What routes and codes are you actually flying?

QFF status PAX get lounge access in SCL when flying LA codes. I’m not sure if that extends to QP but there is a thread here somewhere discussing it.

Hi SYD. I am flying SYD-AKL-SCL all on LA800 then SCL-BOG on LA710. It would be awesome to get LA lounge access as a QF Club Member. Its still a shame the QF lounge at SYD wont let me in considering i booked a QF Classic Reward Flight. But anyway....

I double checked via LA site. Only OWE and OEMWS of QF/JL/IB get access in SCL when flying LA. No QC access (understandable).

There is paid access from 80 USD (ouch!).

In MEL/SYD and AKL only access for QF codeshare flight numbers

Does anyone know with CX flights at HKG, do i need the QFF attached to the flight for lounge access or if I can just show the OWE status.

Given CX Economy often doesnt earn with QF, I was thinking of crediting the flight to Asiamile or BA.

Hello everyone. First time posting so apologies for me not knowing all the correct abbreviations.

My wife and I are returning from Kansai Osaka airport in early January 2025. I have Qantas Club membership earned by being a Points Club Plus person. We are flying Jetstar from Kansai to Brisbane. Are there any lounges in Kansai that we are eligible to enter? Thank you very much for any information.

Welcome to AFF @Songsting .

I am not sure Qantas club membership provides for lounge access before a Jetstar flight out of KIX.

Sometimes Qantas make lounge access available for QFF elites on Jetstar flights where there is not a Qantas Club or Qantas Business lounge, but I am not aware of such at Kansai.

Travelling SYD-LAX-AUS on QF11 and QF4310, booked in Y for both as a Gold. Confirming I'll be able to access the QF business lounge during my transit?

As QFF Gold/Oneworld Sapphire you can access the AA Flagship Lounge at T4 and the QF Business lounge at TBIT.
