Not a thing. Domestic only.Has anyone tried it in International?
In theory ADL but oh, wait…that’s a hypothetical example. Not a thing. Domestic only.
Plus, in most setups bar a place like SIN or LAX(on a dom flight into), one has no physical access to a int lounge on arrival - certainly in Australia.
One could, I presume, access a dom lounge on arrival from an international flight eg AKL-SYD.
J as a Gold., unless flying F out.Hi. Somewhat related query. QFF SG flying AA domestic in First connecting in LAX to a QF flight. Can they access the QF first lounge in LAX or just the J lounge?
No, just the QF J lounge but you can also access the AA Flagship lounge (which will be closer to your inbound flight).Hi. Somewhat related query. QFF SG flying AA domestic in First connecting in LAX to a QF flight. Can they access the QF first lounge in LAX or just the J lounge?
No, that is not a perk of J (unlike VA)Not an Elite but travelling in J can you get in on arrival to SYD Dom

Thanks, I think I have asked before but getting old and forgetful. No, that is not a perk of J (unlike VA)
They cannot access the QF First lounge as they are not departing on a First class flight from LAX nor do they hold OneWorld Emerald (i.e. Qantas Platinum) status. With that being said, it is worth noting that they do have a very good perk as being a QFF Gold, namely they can access American Airlines lounges on departure and on arrival when travelling domestically with AA or Alaska. They can also access Alaska lounges on departure even for domestic flights. Lastly, at LAX, they do have an option. Yes they can choose to use the Qantas Business class lounge at the international terminal, but they also can use the American Airlines Flagship lounge located in terminal 4 (near the international terminal). I have been to both the AA Flagship lounge and the Qantas Business lounge at LAX and would argue that the AA lounge is quieter and has better amenities. For instance, the Flagship lounge stocks a wide variety of beverages in the cooler (including Redbull, if that's your thing).Hi. Somewhat related query. Most likely because on arrival access is for WP and above, who would not normally go to the QP so perhaps the agent was confused or just didn't know the policy since very few, if any, would look to exercise it there.I just got rejected on-arrival access at the Sydney QP. Lounge dragon had “never heard of on-arrival access”.
No problems at the Dom J lounge, where the attendants agreed that I should have been allowed in the QP as well.
I wasn’t bothered to go back and argue at the QP - I went there first because my friend was already parked there, but I brought her into the Dom J instead.
I’m surprised that the QP rejected access, but perhaps most people go straight to the Dom J.
Perhaps DOM J are more used to get "on-arrival" pax.? After all you need the status to get on-arrival access, so why go to QP?I just got rejected on-arrival access at the Sydney QP. Lounge dragon had “never heard of on-arrival access”.

I used to love that perk especially in SydneyPerhaps DOM J are more used to get "on-arrival" pax.? After all you need the status to get on-arrival access, so why go to QP?
why go to QP?
Does "on-arrival access" include a guest?
They both got into DOM J, so problem solved! I must try that next time.Yeah I have guested on arrival before - pretty sure it's the usual +2.
But their friend had arrived before them by the sounds of it.

Yep, I believe this is the reason as well.Perhaps DOM J are more used to get "on-arrival" pax.?
Yes, you should have your normal guest allowance. I had no problems guesting my friend - she was on a different QF flight departing SYD.Does "on-arrival access" include a guest?
She did, but she doesn’t have access to the Dom J, so I guested her in.But their friend had arrived before them by the sounds of it.
