Hi there guys,

I've only recently become active on AFF, and have my very first question.
I've done a bit of searching, and there was an answer to this topic from 2011, but not a lot of feedback on it, and wondering if anyone else could add their experience, or knowledgeable expertise on it even if they haven't tried this.

I have QF coded flights SYD-ICN codesharing on Asiana metal. QF367/368, on a sale (N) ticket.
I am QFF SG/OW *S, and imagine lounge access at Sydney would be ok.

However I'm wondering if I would get any lounge access at ICN?
I read someone who was WP mentioned it to the Qantas check-in staff at ICN and was given 2 lounge passes, and another person wasn't offered any (not sure if they asked).
Also I'm unsure if there are any other OW lounges in ICN I could give a go since I'm on a QF coded flight. Although there doesn't seem to be that many lounges listed on the ICN airport website, I imagine there would be quite a few.

If anyone else could shed light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated!

As QF SG you will be given an invitation to the Asiana Business Lounge when you check in at ICN.

I've done the same ICN-SYD with QF ticket on OZ metal. Sear selection isn't great (only a small block of seats to choose from) but the seats are fairly comfortable and good IFE.

The OZ Lounge is fairly good. There's lots of seating, some privacy areas and a business section with computers. The times I've been there, around 5 or 6pm they have a cook doing noodles to order. The rest of the time it's usal buffet and drinks.

Op I see your specific question has been answered but see you suggested you may get into a OW lounge due to the Qantas flight number. This isn't the case, to get access based on OW status the flight needs to be marketed and operated by a OW carrier. In your case it is just marketed so wouldn't have worked. But good to see arrangements are made in this specific case it isn't always how it pans out.

AFAIK this is a QF flight number'ed flight and I'd interpret the eligibility to allow pax on codeshare flights as QC/SG/WP in. However the requirements for members of OW programs other than QFF's make it clear that it has to be marketed and operated by a OW airline.

For QC
"Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas, Emirates, or Jetstar Airlines+ flight number. One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight."

For a QFF WP
"Next onward flight must be on a Qantas, Emirates, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight."

For a QFF SG
"Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas, Emirates, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight."

In the Qantas lounge (in Sydney in this case) then yes, the flight just needs the Qantas code. But the question I was replying to was about OneWorld lounges, not a Qantas lounge.

In which case to use a OneWorld lounge it needs to be marketed and operated.

As an additional benefit, Platinum and Gold Qantas Frequent Flyers (Emerald and Sapphire oneworld® members) may also enter the lounges of our oneworld alliance partners## when travelling on eligible flights that are marketed and operated~ by a oneworld alliance airline.

Similar situation to OP. I flew QF367 to ICN and am returning on QF368 tomorrow (strictly speaking, today). Glad to know that I'll be able to use the Asiana lounge at Incheon (I'm QF WP).

At Sydney I didn't realise I was able to use the Asiana business check-in counter as a WP. Wondering if I'll be able to use the business class counter at ICN for a speedier check-in.
