Not “may”, they will ask to see it if it’s not on the BP.You may want to have the Qantas app or your Qantas Frequent Flyer card handy as the lounge agent may ask you to present the card to prove you have status to enter the lounge.

Depends on the attitude of the agent. I've seen some that just wave people through (especially if they are regulars). But yes, the key thing is having that card at hand so that if challenged you can show you are eligible to access. Not “may”, they will ask to see it if it’s not on the BP.

Hypothetical question, and I don't know the OneWorld answer to this, but is it possible to check-in providing your QFF details (that does have status) then switch it back to the FFP you want it to credit to (i.e. after you're in the lounge)? The boarding pass will say no. You're then at QF's mercy.
A slightly old thread but this indicates no if you're not prepared to credit to QF:
Changing oneworld crediting FF program mid ticket no longer allowed?
No problem. Just a pity that there is no simple way to look at the BP and check whether the agent has got things the way you want.www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au

It’s inevitable really when some of the replies are giving incorrect info.Nice to see AFF still follows the "why have 2 posts in a thread when 7 will do" rule
I wouldn't say incorrect info so much as incomplete info. Many take it for granted that they would have their QFF card on hand when accessing a lounge, just in case they are asked. But having been to a number of lounges and seeing the denials because they could not produce a card (and in the case of LH Group not produce a physical card) we shouldn't take it for granted! It’s inevitable really when some of the replies are giving incorrect info.
How does one switch it back afterwards? Do you do that on the app/RJ website, at the gate?Yes it is
My TA does it for me if I need that service. How does one switch it back afterwards? Do you do that on the app/RJ website, at the gate?
QF are wrong. My QF and Velocity physical cards I always take on international trips just in case required, albeit I will have roaming on, however also just in case I have issues bringing up the digital card on my phone. I also recently reordered my physical card for my September o/s trip, as I noticed the version I had expired on 30 June 2023, in line with membership year and Qantas doesn't automatically resend you one like Velocity, so I should have the physical card issue covered off.
I have requalified for both QF and VA platinum, however the points earn on Velocity with Qatar is superior than Qantas and I had also registered for double velocity points promo with Qatar promo through Velocity, so my J QR SYD-MXP, BCN-SYD will earn ~95,000 points which is far superior than the earn through crediting to Qantas. If it was a few thousand difference, I wouldn't worry, however it's a big difference even without the promo and the earn through Velocity is equivalent to a one way J reward into the US.
Just on changing the frequent flyer on the booking after checking in, on my September trip, my original return booked flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a QF flight. It was only after checking in, did I notice I didn't have my QF number on the ticket so I rang Qantas to ask and they said the frequent flyer number couldn't be changed after checking in.
The other interesting thing is, if Qantas didn't accept me into the lounge because my VA number was on the ticket, I wouldn't have any lounge access in Sydney then! I suppose I could use the Amex lounge.

Maybe this is this safest bet then.QF are wrong.
It’s definitely possible to change FF numbers / programs after check-in.
Thanks for the link, good info there. The boarding pass will say no. You're then at QF's mercy.
