Well as an FNQ expat I'd definitely welcome that - it's a horribly expensive place to get to during peak periods.

I booked return SYD-CNS on DJ in J for $400 during a peak period a few weeks ago. That wasn't a sale?

Agreed though that the discount seats are a lot rarer in peak periods such as holidays. But QF (and group) has vowed to dump capacity on the market. No airline is going to let seats go empty so fares are going to be depressed, even at times when there's no sales.

The OOL Lounge had daily updates with photos, well before the construction even started. I expect none the less from the people of Cairns.

This thread shows there is evidence of construction work in the area where VA is expected to build a Lounge. But there is no concrete evidence that the work is actually related to VA Lounge construction.

I never knew LST was so high up the list of passenger movements. A VA lounge there would be nice - hopefully when/if it happens it will be better than the existing QP.
