pretty sure you need to be flying oneworld to be guested

At the very least. Some lounge dragons require the same flight.

Emerald members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier

But yes I have heard of the latter being enforced for the F Lounge

I guess some might not necessarily remember that other oneworld emerald members have that rule even though QFF emeralds can only take in others on the same flight.

Hi all

I am hoping someone may be help me - need lounge entry for my wife (i have a complimentary pass).

9 May 13:00 JQ27 SYD Int Should be at lounge ~11:30

Sorry if this is not the correct format or if I should be requesting etc., new to this sort of thing.

Only 2 in our group but I only have a complimentary pass when i achieved silver status (no guest allowed) I think it allows me access to the international business lounge.

Have you found another pass yet?

Have the lounge access rules changed?

Platinum Benefits said:
First Lounge

Available in Sydney and Melbourne. Designed by Qantas Creative Director Marc Newson, the Lounges offer a range of facilities including a day spa, restaurant, library, private work suites and concierge service. When visiting a First Lounge you may bring one guest, who must also be travelling.

No mention of same flight or carrier and no asterisk either.

I think it depends which rule the lounge dragon chooses to remember.

There is a difference between QF platinum and oneworld emerald

I have seen that page before. Which one is right?

As a Platinum I would have every right to be disappointed if I was refused a guest not travelling with me based on the page I visited on their website. Qantas needs to ensure that all the webpages are in sync and I shouldn't have to look in every corner of the terms and conditions for what they believe are the correct lounge access rules.

27 May, QF11 (SYD-LAX) FLounge.

If you want to be guested, PM me to arrange a suitable time. I'll be in Sydney a few days before, so okay with meeting whenever the guest wants to enter.

Cheers
BF

They are both right. There are different rules for Qantas platinums and Oneworld Emerald.

I was referring to the link I posted on Platinum Benefits.

No mention of guest travelling with Platinum member or even Oneworld flight. Very misleading information if rejected First lounge access.
