Lounge Opening Times for SQ248 - MEL to SIN?

Morning,

Hoping someone might know this answer, as i have been given the run around by SQ.

I am travelling J on SQ 248 on the 18th of April - MEL to SIN - the flight departs at 0555

The lounge opening times in MEL (from SQ.com) state

Opening hours

0735 to 1000 hours 1340 to 1900 hours 2135 to 0000 hours

Seems a little strange they dont have a lounge open to service their own flight.

I have spoken to a few SQ team members and they have advised me to wait until check in and ask, which is not a premium experience.

Hoping someone has travelled this flight in the past few weeks, and can let me know if the lounge is actually open and their website is just incorrect.

The lounge will open for SQ248. I suspect they just haven’t updated the website as the service runs only some times of the year (for example it didn’t operate from 12-25 March).

Last year it definitely showed it was open for the flight when it was running (as per the web archive, but I can’t seem to past the link here!)

So has Google. I called Singapore Airlines and they had no idea nor any phone number.

SQ operate the Melbourne lounge specifically to serve the flights it operates out of Melbourne. In addition to my post above, I have taken SQ 248 previously and it was open. Typically the lounge opens 3 hrs before departure and closes ~ 30 mins before departure (except for SQ 228/208 which are close enough together for it to remain open).

Yes i have spoken to multiple SQ team members over the past week or so and i have gotten the same response, as @dajop as indicated i have a feeling its just an error in the updating of their site. Lets see what happens after daylight saving finishes on Sunday, as i am sure they will update their site then. If you look at all the other AU lounge opening times, they are all open to support the SQ flight departures but MEL is the only one where SQ248 isn't. Seems a little odd.

That was in 2018. I have opened a complaint and they said it can take up to 14 days.

No, that's standard SQ/Singapore way of dealing with things, read off the script and do not think!

However, the lounge is open at least 1 hour before the flight at I was there at 6am for the flight recently, when it was a 6:55am departure. However, I'm sure it opens 2.5 hours beforehand, not that you want to be at the airport at 4am...

I happened to be at MEL airport yesterday and i spoke to the SQ check in team, they confirmed the lounge will be open at 0255 for SQ248.

I told them about the information being incorrect on SQ.com they didn't seem too concerned.
