Jan 00 here 304xx_x. Looks like they had a growth period. I wonder why? (Was before AN went under for the first time, maybe people saw the writing on the wall).

This is my one claim to fame so I'll put it up there again.

Joined the TAA Flight Deck Club in January 1983.

My FF number is four digits.....0008xx_.

There was a period in the late 90's after the "Qantas Telstra ANZ Visa" card was introduced when membership 'exploded'.

Ah that makes sense. Probably another huge burst when EDR was introduced.

As a side note, I joined up my twin boys just before EDR was introduced.

Number: 572xx_8

I was disappointed that I didn't get 572xx_5 and 572xx_6 or similar.

I don't know about QFF numbers but commonly the last digit is a check digit to validate the number. Often it will be the second-last digit that will be sequential in such numbers.

Just checked the twin's numbers and they are identical except for the last digit. I would say that there isn't a check digit in this case.

Good suggestion though.

Joined Sept 02...mine is 324xx_.

I guess numbers started at 8xx_ during the TAA days?

Any lower?

Interesting to see some low QFF membership numbers.

Joined QFF in May 2003 and membership number is 4,3xx,xx_.
