I hadn't seen this posted yet. Looks like Luxury Escapes will change its frequent flyer partnership from Qantas to Velocity later this year.

I'm a bit surprised as the Luxury Escapes partnership with Qantas seemed quite strong, to the point that you can even redeem Qantas points towards Luxury Escapes packages. That said, Qantas now owns half of Tripadeal so perhaps Luxury Escapes thought they weren't getting as much attention any more?

No problem. A lot of my points are now coming from shopping at those places with a VA tie up rather than QF.

There was a brief mention:

Ah, cool. I think this deserves its own thread as I'm fairly confident that won't be the milestone announcement. 😂

I'm not surprised at all given the launch of the Luxury arm of Tripadeal which QF owns. Makes complete sense.

A little bit random, but corporate AFF people who follow theaussiecorporate corporate ’gossip’ IG account would have seen they reported Velocity and Luxury Escapes are parting ways.

Rumour / bucket salt.

Often on the money that account, would represent a very quick divorce from July 2023!

Perhaps in line with the recent rumour but I was looking to earn points for the first time from a hotel booking via this partnership. It seems to be permitted by the article, and terms and conditions, and there's a V logo on the hotel. However, when I go to confirm the booking there's nowhere to enter my Velocity number to earn points, and only a section to redeem points.

I called up LE and they said points can only be earnt on flight AND hotel bookings combined. But this goes against what their own terms say. So I'm confused if I've missed something, the guy on the phone told me the wrong thing, or is it that they've pulled the earning functionality from the site (perhaps supported by the rumour above)? Can anyone who's used this for bookings/earning in the past tell me where the Velocity number is entered?

I have my VFF number added in my LE profile, but haven't booked anything since so don't know if or how it will work.

Can you please tell me which section it's in? I checked each of the sections, including My Profile/Personal Details and don't see anywhere to enter the number.

We found the same when we booked last month, absolutely no where to put your VFF number.
