Mac bank Hilton Hhonors credit card question

I think they have replaced HH with VISA LUXURY HOTEL COLLECTION BENEFITS that gives you VIP benefits to more hotels.

I've spent the $12k now in 3 months on the card (I activated the card probably a week before Mac bank cancelled it as a product of theirs).

I haven't received an email about the free night stay they provide you once you hit 12k spend as part of this card. Do you think it's now void due to Macquarie not offering the card anymore?

I think that my free night email arrived within a couple of weeks of meeting the spend (last year?). Maybe ring Hilton Honors to get them to send it out?

Same “benefits” as Citi Signature, Citi Signature w/ Infinite Branding and Citi Select cards I believe?

So given that it has now been discontinued does this mean that existing cards won't be renewed after their expiry date??

More the point is there any reason to keep using the card if there will not be an annual diamond renewal?

True - I do appreciate the the guaranteed Gold minimum status though regardless of spend

Last week I paid the annual fee for another year (50% off, by asking). No advice of Hilton Gold being discontinued. In any case, Gold status comes with the card, unless the T&C change.

Edit: No reports of changes to the T&C for existing cardholders is there?

Yeh same, that's why I was wondering. I can't find any reports of a change in T&C's. I've still got 2 years validity on the card so I'm fine for now, more curious really.

We'd have to receive information and notice in the mail wouldn't we? I definitely haven't received anything about it being discontinued except for the call centre staff saying they don't know what's happening and we know the chat on here saying it's been removed as a product.

Yes. No longer available for new customers. But mine is still available (active), as an existing card holder. Agree, not all that much new information available at the moment.

This the reply I've received from Macquarie:

Please be advised that we are not accepting any new Hilton Credit Card applications at this point in time. Your current credit card will continue to operate as normal until further notice.

Cards often continue on for some time after they stop selling new ones to customers.
