When I got to the end of the process it asked me to attach payslips and proof of any other income.

I applied December 10. No where in the process was I asked for proof of income. Haven't heard from them. Not even an email confirmation of my application.

Applied 10/12. Had a call today asking me to email payslips.

Applied sometime ago and got a knockback. Not too surprised since had been applying too many cards of late for the bonus QFF points.

Then the card turned up! Hope the points will come with it.

After seeing post #25 I decided to send in my payslips just on spec. Got a call today asking me to send them. When I told them I already had done so, they claimed they'd never received them!

Hopefully this isn't a sign of the incompetence shown by Citibank.

How good or bad is Macquaire to deal with. Anyone have experience?

I've had a few of their cards over the years and they are a bit annoying to deal with but nothing too bad. They leave Citibank for dead, but then again so do most.

The main complaint people have is MQG's harsh credit assessment criteria, I've never had a problem though.

Cancelling the cards when I was done with them (ie annual fee due) was hassle free - no fee waiver offered though.

Hope this helps some.

Had the same problem with Mac Hilton Honours. In spite of several phone calls following up application, I was never told that the payslips had (apparently) not been received. Endless delays and finally refused.

I have a Woolies card, issued by Macquarie, when I wanted to cancel, they offer to waive the annual fees, so kept it, but never used it much.. However didn't brother to check my statement till some months later and saw the annual fees was deducted! Wonder it's too late to complain.

In my experience, the call centres normally keep a note of all phone calls and complaints they receive. It's still worth checking back with them, no matter how many months have elapsed.

Thanks, will give it a try, no harm done!

Is it possible to apply for this and get the bonus if currently holding the Woolies card?

Applied 10/12. 12 days later no cards.

Could have used them today when I bought $4000 of Woolies WISH Cards at 10% off.
