I thought a last hooray was in order for HSBC so it is ATO time for me on the card pre-changeover. Operation reload in progress.
 
You're ever so thoughtful cove! Are you expecting a thankyou card shortly after the one from the ATO arrives?
 
Has anyone had delays in receiving their points this month? The points usually show in my QFF account on the same day as the CC statement is issued, but 2 business days later, still nothing.
 
I called up got my latest annual fee reversed, put one last ATO on the WW card and then it is goodnight!

Don't really need 2 MacBank cards in my life... One is painful enough.

No problem here. Points came through on time and in full (inc. ATO).

I have applied for a Citibank Signature card. That was before I realised you could get the WEDR fee waived.
 
Thanks Walter. Will chase up if not received Monday. It was a larger than normal month, so hopefully it hasn't raised a flag.
 
Another re-load this week as I keep running up to the limit each week. It's just a game but I am now running short of Qantas points earning Visa and MasterCards if this one conks out on ATO and land tax.

No problems here, either. And the moment I got them I was on the phone to WOW cancelling the card.
They did offer to waive the next years annual fee but I told them it was too late - because I now have a card with much better benefits for $49 a year (signature).
A few hours later, I received their automated feedback survey, and told them exactly why they are not winning customers :)
 
Just rang to cancel the card and, like others here, was offered 12 months fee-free. Accepted.

I've got a Citibank Signature application in the pipeline so if it's approved I'll use both. Citibank will get business charges and WEDR will get Mrs Plinge's purchases + BAS/PAYG.

How do you know when the fee will hit your account ? Will it be December for everyone, or same time that the fee hit previously ? I'm going to cancel if they want to slap their fee.

My annual fee was charged on 10 January this year. At the conclusion of the 'cancel' call I asked if I could have a limit increase. The lady said not at the moment -- after 22 November. Call again then. That's a month - not sure why.

5 Business days later, I still have not received the points from my last statement. Called WOW and they insist that points were disbursed to QANTAS on 16 Oct. Called QANTAS, they investigate and say that it has not been received. Call WOW back and they put me on hold to call QANTAS to confirm. Apparently, QNATAS told WOW that the points can take 30 days to show. They have always shown in FF account on day of CC statement. WOW say that because of higher than usual points amount, it may be taking longer than usual. Hence the question....How many points are people getting per month from this card? Im usually 5-8,000 per month, but this month was nearly 14,000.

I average 55,00 a month but last month it was just on 70,000. These appeared the day after the statement became available for download. In three years my points have never been delayed.
 
Just received a letter from Woolworths Money advising a new login ID and, from 27/10, an "enhanced online service" and an app. Sounds as if there'll be a new website under Macquarie. Anything will be an improvement given the current site has always been rubbish.
 
I have noticed the annual fee has been updated to $139 on its website, and $99 in the 1st year for new applicants.
 
Seeing the takeover is imminent I did a third ATO payment on HSBC/WOW.

The log in is painful. Hope they didn't learn 'enhanced' from Qantas.

I had around 13,000 points this month and they've posted fine.

The new fee had better not hit in December as I not long paid a renewal. I'll watch out for that.

I've already reported this card once to the financial ombudsmen as they continued to charge the Insurance long after I'd cancelled it. And of course the decision was in my favour as I had all the email documents.
