They must love you.
Not fully approved yet. :)

If I remember correctly, last time it took a few days for the approval to come through. I think it was just under 6 weeks from when I applied to when I cancelled the card after having the points in my account last time around.

'Good news, you’re conditionally approved.'

Just over 6 months since I cancelled this card. Got back on today. $99 for 40,000 QFF points is just too hard to say no to.
5 days later and I haven't heard anything at all from Macquarie other than the original 'Good news, you’re conditionally approved.'

Starting to be concerned.

Probably dagging around at Macquarie, should be OK but out of curiosity, given you go through a lot of cards, do you actually have one you keep no matter what for continuity (direct debits etc) and what is it?

No.

10 days after application I get a call from Macquarie. They wanted to confirm my mortgage payments. Didn't I let them have it for waiting 10 days to contact me!

Need to apply for this one again. Doesn't sound like they have made it any easier.

Applied Feb 4. Limited communication from Macquarie. I called them for the second time since application today. They said they haven't been able to contact my employer to verify my income. They don't seem to care that I've sent them payslips + bank statements. The saga continues. Can't ever remember waiting this long for approval to to take place.

For anyone who has this card, how quickly do transactions show up in your online banking account/mobile app? Is it instant like NAB credit card or slow like ANZ? Thanks

Instant. After I pay with my card, a notification gets pushed to my phone.

YMMV but in my experience ANZ is essentially instant on the app (Black FF fwiw)
Also agree. Mine is instant on both my ANZ QFF & ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures.

Only advantage with Macquarie is you get a push notification to your mobile device for each transaction made. ANZ don't do this with their app.

If you add your card to Google Pay, and the card supports it, Google Pay will report all transactions, not just those initiated by Google Pay.

This works for all my Amex cards but not my HSBC card.

I've got an iPhone. My AMEX does the exact same thing, reports on all transactions through Apple Wallet. My ANZ cards + Macquarie don't do this - only reports on ones used with Apple Pay.

Thought I'd chip in - got this card, made required purchases, received bonus points on first statement. Cancelling tomorrow. Yay.

Applied Feb 4. 4 phone calls to them later I am today told card approved and will be sent in the mail.

Longest process I've ever had with any bank.

In the end no one could identify why it took so long and Macquarie weren't taking any blame for the delays.

Looking forward to making the spend and getting the points and cancelling immediately. i don't intend to spend even $1 more on this card than is necessary.

Never had an experience like this before.

Applied Feb 4. Received card today - 43 days later!

Minimum spend now made.

Card in draw awaiting points.
