Did anybody see the spare 787 at Perth as back up on the inaugural flight? It was shown on CNN.

Another had flown across on one of the MEL-PER domestic services. They would have swapped things around if need be

Last night I heard that my dinner companion had booked using AA Miles to fly in business class on QF9 to London from Perth. Sounded like a very good way to do QF9 compared with our neighbors who used Qantas points for economy.

Of course, QF10 is the way to go from "London to Perth"; QF9 from Perth to London is generally an hour longer flight.

I had better ask what cash was required on an AA redemption compared with Qantas. Our immediate family of four are long in AA Miles so I paid attention. My colleague would have bugger all Qantas status so the AA option was great for him to get business class.

Yes all I see as a WP is economy seats when I look thru the Qantas site.
