I would have clocked over last week but unfortunately nothing has credited to my account for a week and a half. I have 5 outstanding flights not credited. Should be soon though.

I had a lot outstanding that just landed today. My YTD SC balance is 2062.

Just ticked over. Looks like another 12 months of Platinum Travel for me :)

I think it has been an average of 2 return sectors a week since August give or take.

Done. As of a couple of days ago. 890 SC's and counting.

3 months... little longer than expected.

Status matched August. First SC earning flight 21 Oct. Thanks to double SC and family pooling, will pass 800 pts on the 31st of Dec. Current 330.

I status-matched to Gold in October and will bump to Platinum by January 4 after a family flight. I'm requalified with Gold until October 2012, but will my resassment date reset to January 4, 2013 after I bump up to Platinum?

I'm now at 660 and would bolt in Platinum requalfication by mid-January, however we are doing a tricky bit of family pooling on-and-off magic, so as not to waste a single status credit! This means I'll be at 780 in January but will have diverted a couple of hundred SCs to my partner in the meantime. The 20 will be easy to get and with the pooling we'll both hit Platinum again fairly quickly after that!

There are a couple of flights where I'm not sure if we'll get double SCs (they were booked on the right date in Aus but are with Delta so were technically booked the date before in the US - hopefully it goes by the Australian date at the time of booking!)

But they are flights I'm pooling to my partner as if we do get double SCs it will be a waste on my account.

At the moment looks like I will tick over in mid February, and likely reach 1500+ by the end of my accrual period. I had been planning to divert some back into AA once I hit 800. Now reevaluating!

I am impressed. Perhaps it is time VA brought in a new tier above Platinum as clearly you guys are not challenged in the slighest. ;)

Yes, your assessment date changes when upgrading a tier level.

I am a recent DJ Plat, and have accrued (during November) 560 SCs this membership year (thank-you double status credit promotion). My reassessment is 9th September 2012 so won't have any trouble maintaining DJ Platinum as at that date. But my question is - at reassessment, will I maintain Platinum for another 12 months, or only until my November 2011 points expire?

In general therefore, do we get reassessed for a futher 12 months from our re-assessment date, or is it necessary to always have at least 800SCs "alive", in order to retain Platinum? If the latter, is there any time buffer after the points expire, or as soon as we drop below 800, we become but a humble Gold (for 12 months), and have to requalify to Platinum with 1000 SCs!

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before - if so I couldn't find it on the forum and the Velocity website doesn't seem to mention it.

(I might also seek forgiveness in this company as a status matched interloper!)

You earn it for 12 months from your reassessment date.
