Maintaing Gold Staus

Just a little confused with my current level. I am 9 status credits away from maintaining gold (have a few flights planned already). But in the next window it says I have 40 credits expiring next week.

Questions is, do I then need to get 49 status credits to main gold or still the 9? Hope this makes sense?
