Was a nice convivial atmosphere for the pre-dinner meet:

Part one done and dusted on to part 2 tomorrow.

Pre dinner drinks were good and our random choice of dinner was ok as well, Oliver's on James Street.

There was a rumor on the night that Vitagen bought 12 red roses for QFWP ...... i i am wondering if this is related to the no pants comment

Well it was great to meet a couple of new members as well as those I already knew. It was hilarious when vitagen turned up and I was on FaceTime with my kids and wife - thankfully they weren't for me. A lot of great discussion around getting to know each other, our travel patterns and FF programs. I leant about the use of Lifemiles for the first time.

With vitagen and BobbyFlyer having to go home; clazman Bundy Bear and I adjourned by taxi to Northbridge (James Street) and we found a restaurant (Oliver's) to eat and continue chatting.

Had some funny moments - people from my Conference running into us (both in Hotel and outside restaurant); as well as clazman having some interesting work calls to attend.

Was a great night that wrapped up at 10:30 as clazman had phone call imposed early start to his day today. Hope it all goes well clazman.

Now onto tonight's festivities - thanks to clazman for pointing out where to go; as well as taking me on a walking tour of some of the restaurants (Trustee) that I've heard our Members discuss.

We used up 4 of my 2 drink Hilton vouchers, so I have enough left for JohnM and Steady tonight

Steady PMd to say he'd arrive at Lalla Rookh about 1800h. Not sure what time Jukebox333 will arrive but given he's being done over in the FC, earlier rather than later I'd say. He's the guy who will really need a drink...:(.

Casanovawa
may also be a starter.

My bus arrives at the busport at 1713. Perhaps early arrivals could meet you at the Hilton at 1730?

LOL - I'm hoping it won't be that bad! Actually, "No decsion" is a possible outcome as well, although that just prolongs a very stressful process.

I'm over in East Perth, but owed loads of flexi-time this month so can be there any time from 4pm onwards. But I have to drive the last 5km home, so won't be celebrating or commiserating excessively either way.

So do we have a pre-dinner catch up at Adelphi then?

I'm scheduled to land @ 16.05 and will head in as soon as I have checked into one of the airport hotels - I will call JohnM from the taxi and get dropped off wherever everyone is at the time.

Not being a local 18.00 was just a guess

I'll be finished at the Convention Centre at 4:45pm, so will head back to my room to change and be in the Adelphi Bar at 5:30pm

I'll have blue pants and a blue checked shirt with a red iPad on the table (and a drink in my hand - a Kilkenny beer). Free drinks are for my guests. Then it'll be a nice walk up up St Georges Tce to Lalla Rookh.

I may turn up for a quick drink, I will leave when you go to your restaurant and head to my previous dinner gathering in Northbridge, different street to last night.

Will be good to say hi to JohnM and Steady especially as he would have just flown in from the east.

I will try to get there in time for drinks - I would also like to say g'day Bundy Bear
