Massive dissapointment

I agree re the seats. I ended up with a crook neck from the overnight MEL-SIN flight. The old A380 seat on the return SIN-SYD leg was better, but I reckon I get better sleep in a Y seat than the crookedness of the lie flat J seats. Plus when in the upright position they’re pretty uncomfortable for short people.

I think the end to amenity kits is a good thing. The staff will give you toothbrushes/eye masks etc. if you ask, but by not handing out a package of items most people won’t entirely use, it cuts down on waste. So much would go to landfill.

I always loved getting amenity kits (back in the day in economy) but basically anything like that or items i get from hotels etc, I dont throw away, I either use them as travel items and / or end up collecting enough to then give to the homeless.

I'm 192cms tall (6'4"), Size 15 feet and have no problem in any of the SQ J seats including the A350. I also enjoy the food, reasonable wine selection, great IFE, good on-time record, great choice of flights to most ports, civilised transit in Singapore, fabulous FAs etc.

I do feel for the OP. The A350 seat with a broken foot wouldn't have been much fun. I wish you a speedy recovery.
