So you're saying THEY have made an error, in printing the words I quoted directly verbatim from the Canadian PC website ... and you have entered the code 3168, and it comes up with a different wording ??

Well, that's just great ... how is the ordinary reasonable person expected to know, that PC will make these errors, when we go to read the PLAIN ENGLISH on their websites ??

GORDO

The error is with the Canadian site that's not an official PC site. An ordinary person takes most things on the internet with a grain of salt.....

I see your point, that the website is actually from 'Rewards Canada', and an not an original PC site.

However, they have done a good job in replicating what seems to be a genuine listing of over a hundred codes and offers. A lot of work for a 'fake' site, that doesn't seem to gain anything for the host? Doesn't seem like 'sabotage' is a likely motivator either. To me, I simply took it on face value, that the site was offering codes and other offers ON BEHALF of PC, and as a service to its primary membership.

So, what you have pointed out to all of us reading, is that, while there maybe many 'offers' from third party websites, it is up to PC to determine if an entered code is valid, and if it will be approved or not.

The problem there is, that the system will only allow you to use some codes, and not others that are closely related. Eg. I entered a 'three night stay' code - got accepted, but then was denied the 'four night stay' code entry with one digit difference.

So, it seems this is not as simple as it seems ....

Put simply, unless you get an email offering you the bonus points from PC, then any claim you have on those points may not be valid, it's as simple as that. The fact these codes often work for those not targeted, in the real bonus, and one is not advised to call PC when they don't credit.
