Mauritius, Madagascar & Seychelles

Thanks, Flashback.

Not sure which charter company the tour company will use. Should I ask them? Is MTA a good one? Are all charter flights OK - 2 to 3 hours seem to be long flights!

I think it is Tsaradia - a subs of Madagascar Airlines. The airline code is MD.
You'll generally be in a 4 seater, or an 8-11 seater Cessna Caravan. Cost wise MTA is one of the cheaper ones, planes are a bit older but well looked after. I flew with them a lot, they're reliable. They have a small lounge too.

Tour company said "We mainly use two companies. MTA and SKY Services. We had a record year with private flights last year and had excellent service from both. MTA is our go-to company."

I haven't used SKY (have used 3 different ones), but yes, MTA is the go-to.

Cessna 208 Caravan (likely bigger than what you'll fly on), I guess you'll be in a 4 seater.

MK seems to be a perfectly good airline. Some friends flew it, in J, a few years ago Per/Paris/Per and found the flights to be very pleasant. One of them is French born so that may have helped with any language problems.

They speak English perfectly fine!

I thought that they probably did but also thought that a pax talking them in excellent, 'old style 'French may have been a bonus. My friend was born in France but left in her late teens - around the early 1970's. When she goes there for a holiday she says that the locals love her word use as it is more 'classical' than most locals as she never picked up the various slang and Franglais words that have crept into modern French. Despite the best efforts of L'Académie française.

Indeed! I flown them a dozen or more times, starting back when they had 762s (with international first class!) and 747SPs. Always been positive (and no french required! :))
