Golf on the Saturday sounds good.

I am thinking of staying at Sanctuary Cove on the Friday night for the IHG win big promotion. Saturday night is too expensive so could be looking to stay somewhere cheaper.

John K, happy to give you one of my BOGOs so you can stay both nights for the price of Friday night, a little thanks for your contribution to AFF.

Sounds great. I have not booked yet. What would I need to do and would it still count for the Big Win?

I will come along if I'm not busy house hunting in BNE... Know anyone who has a place to rent out?

What is the easiest way to get from train station to Sanctuary Cove on Saturday morning?

I had a look at ways to get from Coomera, Helensvale and/or Nerang by bus and all require 2-3 buses connecting via Southport.

Southport is a "Hub", so West/South/East/North connection are the norm.

A quick look and even from Coomera, it requires train-Bus-Bus - whereas it's a 20 minute drive by car.

I'm driving down from Brisbane.
Want a lift? I think we are going to the same tee at Sanctuary Cove...

Thought I best reply to this, I will be there, planning a trip down the coast.

Will talk to Samh004 about transport, I fly into Brisbane Friday night staying at the Hilton, then head down the coast some time Saturday.

As I'll have to drive home, I'll be on my best behaviour alcohol-wise, but wont be doing pickups in BNE, you need to come to me (or at least the GC).

Ring the reservations line and say you have a Priority Privilege BOGO cert you would like to use, online its showing as no availability for the whole month which is somewhat odd!

That would be good. Need to sort something out as I do not want to hire a car for 2 days and hardly use it. See how I go with the BOGO certificate.

I will try this tomorrow. As long as I get credit as a paid stay for the Friday night as I need this to complete the Big Win.

I need to come back to Brisbane on Sunday around noon, having people over for a BBQ/tennis bash.

We'll get in 18 on the Palms on Saturday, they encourage alcohol consumption on the course:-)

According to QR Translink even after getting off the last bus on that connection requires a further 1.7km walk to Sanctuary Cove!

So what would a 20 minute drive by car cost in taxi dollars? I dont think I want to know.

If that is the case then I may hire a car as I want to play on Sunday as well.

I will try to play Gold Coast Country Club or Surfers Paradise Country Club depending on which one has the more suitable open medley competition on the Sunday.

You should get credit for at least one night, usually two.

What time would you be heading back to Brisbane on the Sunday, I was going to catch a train down but would need a lift back, a lift with a detour.
