You should get credit for at least one night, usually two.

I only need credit for 1 night at a resort hotel for the Big Win.

Thsi promotion should have get me to ~400,000 IHG points. Not sure what I am going to do with them.

Ring the reservations line and say you have a Priority Privilege BOGO cert you would like to use, online its showing as no availability for the whole month which is somewhat odd!
I was told this hotel is not a participating hotel in Priority Privilege.

I need to make a booking now. Looks like I will book the Friday night at $199 as the Saturday night is a ridiculous $479/night!

Any suggestions for very cheap place to stay on Saturday night?

You'd be welcome in one of the rooms here, so long as you don't mind a late start the next morning as I don't like getting up early! :p
Thanks for the offer.

I have just been looking at Wotif and LastMinute and most resorts/apartments are $100+ for that particular night. If I am going to be drinking on the golf course earlier in the day and then at this gathering I dont want to be driving in a hire car.

I'll be driving to Sanctuary Cove for dinner, and return after. Should mean I spend less too.

I'm still a keen starter for this event. :D
I called IHG today to book a suitable room at Sanctuary Cove IC & was told the 'Best Available" rate for the evening of 07 DEC is $540- in the homestead suite.
Think the fixed price limo ride home after drinks shall now suffice.

What time would you be heading back to Brisbane on the Sunday, I was going to catch a train down but would need a lift back, a lift with a detour.

That could be possible but not sure on timing or where you are going to be located.

I am planning on hiring a car Sunday morning from Southport, playing golf at either Surfers Paradise Country Club or Gold Coast Country Club, driving back to Brisbane Sunday afternoon/evening and returning car to Brisbane City on Monday morning.

I think best if I catch train down on Friday afternoon as the majority of Saturday will be at Sanctuary Cove.

Golf is good ...

Playing Eagle ridge on the 1st ... Annual Ambrose.

Anyhoo, there's 2½ weeks to go, need to sort out specific venue and finalise numbers.

Any suggestions/observations welcome.

I booked a tee time at noon for JohnK and myself on Saturday.
Once he finishes 18 holes at the Palms, he will need alot of drinks from 5p onwards.

I was also looking at this and came up with the same result so I have decided to do a quick one night trip to Sanctuary Cove IC this Friday night if anyone is around.

Anyone on the Gold Coast this Friday Evening? (22nd Nov)

Sanctuary Cove Village has quite a few options, Dining | Sanctuary Cove

...

Keep dinner in the Village, makes life easier...Also, I can borrow a mate's golf buggy to get there!
With 10 days to go, time to firm things.

Dining | Sanctuary Cove

I have had many a feed at Georges Paragon (esp. their lunch special) but am happy to try alternatives. (Bookings are likely to become difficult soon.)

Also, need to confirm numbers ... so if you a coming, please post/pm ASAP.

No more George's for me been there too many times.
Had tapas and Gin/Tonics yesterday at Kitchen and Espresso after a windy day on the Palms course. Not bad for outside seating next to the marina, not sure of their evening menu.

Had a work dinner at ioesco | cafe - cucina - bar | cafe cucina bar, thought the food was quite good. Not sure of pricing, I wasn't paying or ordering and the food and wine kept coming:-)

Cheers
